Dawn took a picture of asteroid as it gets closer to it. The image was taken on May 3, when Dawn was approximately 1.21 million kilometers from vesta. in 2015, Dawn will initially enter a highly elliptical polar orbit around Vesta and start collecting science data in August as the orbit will be lowered and collect samples for a year than reach ceres, so Dawn should be captured into orbit about Vesta around July 16. read the link for more information.

Just a minor correction, but it will be this year, in 2011, not 2015. When Dawn gets into orbit around Vesta. In 2015 it will arrive at Ceres. It should be a really interesting mission though. I'm really looking forward to seeing what Ceres looks like up close in detail.
