NEWS: Slaves in The Kingdom: Blind Eye of the US

A little known report released by a international human rights watch organization outlines some human rights atrocities committed in Saudi Arabia. Migrant workers are a large part of the Saudi work force, in fact there are over 8 million migrant workers in the kingdom from all over Asia and the middle east. Some of the atrocities out lined are torturing confessions out of people and having them sign statements that are in languages they can't read, trying women for illegally being pregnant, holding secret trials that result in the death penalty and not releasing any of the charges or informing the persons country of origin family or anyone else until the beheading sentence is carried out and systematic rape of foreign workers by their employers. Saudi government officials have no comment on the issues.



Disgusting. I don't have very many other words that can describe this. These migrant workers goto Saudi Arabia because they are underpaid or there is no employment where they are. Than they get ripped off, raped, beaten, beheaded, tortured and forced to sign confessions they can't even read. These are the allis of the US? The recommendations of the human rights watch were not only totally ignored but they were denied access into the country to investigate these reports from the victims.

You better believe it. Hell, I witnessed this crap when I was stationed there. It was a big part of the reason I gained a heavy dislike and loathing of the Saudis. They still bring slaves in from Africa. I know oif a Philipino woman who was going to visit a friend. She knocked in the wrong door, and some Saudi answered it. He grabbed her, pulled her in and raped her because she was not beiled. Then, when she wouldnt stop crying, he pushed her out the window, killing her. Nothing was done, no charges filed.

The fact the Saudis are such arrogant, spoiled punks, and the fact they finance and develop 90% of the terrorism that plagues us, it baffles me that our govornment has the nerve to call them allies. Especially how many times they stab us in the back.

This reminds me of the cases, of kids that have been spirited out of the U.S. by their Saudi fathers and mothers in the aftermath of lost custody cases. Often the Saudi embassy issues passports to the children in direct violation of court orders not to remove them from the United States

The Saudis have been anything but helpful to the American parents in most of these cases.

The Saudis spread alot of money around Washington to buy former diplomats, retired generals and admirals, and old politicians to do their bidding. This signals those still inside government that big rewards await those willing to support Saudi policies.

These are not the actions of allies IMHO

There are 8.8 million foreigners in Saudi Arabia, Labor Minister Dr. Ghazi al-Ghosaibi disclosed in May, a figure significantly higher than any that the government has previously reported. With an indigenous population of about 17 million, this means that there is almost one foreign resident for every two Saudi citizens.

The largest expatriate communities in Saudi Arabia include one million to 1.5 million people each from Bangladesh, India and Pakistan, and another 900,000 each from Egypt, Sudan and the Philippines. There are also 500,000 workers from Indonesia, and another 350,000 from Sri Lanka, the majority of whom are women.

IMO, the first place to start would be for these nations to take action against Saudi Arabia, including declaring SA a hostile nation. Don't let your people travel to that place, or warn them of what they face if they do decide to go there. It may sound harsh, but it is their problem.

Secondly, beseech France, Canada and Germany to help the situation by accepting these foreigners into their borders. I am sure that France or Canada, for example, wants to prove to the world that they are capable of being a compassionate, concerned world neighbor. This is a good opportunity for them.

Not only the Saudis do this kind of stuff. I am not saying every Muslim is this way, but those that are extremists/radicals believe this way, and you won't find them just in Saudi Arabia.

I guess Saudis can afford to have somebody doing the job for them.
Now they do not treat American profesionals bad at all.

There are many websites which are of the opinion that Saudi Arabia facilitates and participates in WHITE SLAVERY. I think we need to find out what our "Friends" are really up to.

The same thing goes on in this country and you do not hear of it. Keep it in mind when you eat at the local Chinese joint or any number of other places that hire Illeagles or persons on Visas. I hope nobody thinks that Americans are above this and some law enforcement persons overlook things.

Did you even read the article? It doesn't sound like it. Please tell me where the secret courts are that the US are used to hold legal immigrants and than beheads them. What about where we torture legal immigrants and have them sign confessions they can't read? Hey could you point me in the direction of the prison that holds the women who are illegally pregnant? Next time you comment please read what you're commenting on first. That's nothing like the US.

Guess you read to much into it. Yes you are right it is not quite the same but many of the same things go on here, and I did read the article.
