Really?!? AP-GfK poll: Obama approval hits 60 percent

news.yahoo.com

WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama's approval rating has hit its highest point in two years — 60 percent — and more than half of Americans now say he deserves to be re-elected, according to an Associated Press-GfK poll taken after U.S. forces killed al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden.

Headlines are very misleading The poll, which was probably skewed because the mainstream media is terrified that a conservative will taken over the presidency in 2012, is partly based on what happened with bin Laden. Our economy has not taken an upward tic, unemployment remains high, gas prices remain high, food prices are going higher and higher and the people polled give Obama a 60% approval rating??? What were they smoking? We have a long way to go to Nov. 2012.

But what if all people remember is that he killed a FAKE terrorist..... So do we think that this really could have been the biggest PR move in history and an early big hit to get re-elected?

Note: I believe presidents are 'selected' by bloodlines not elected by vote... but on ATS we all believe different things!

"Crack" smokers have evidently skewed this poll....

Note: I believe presidents are 'selected' by bloodlines not elected by vote... but on ATS we all believe different things!
That's exactly how it is...ONE of the biggest lies told to the American people is "Anyone can be president in America"...that would be correct if they would add "if your from the right bloodline"

I agree that Presidents are indeed placed into office, so it really doesn't matter what the approval poll says. Like voting, polls are faked as well, mainly to support the outcome of the election. The entire U.S. government is an illusion; a "purple" flavored drink that the masses drink right up.

People that think 60 percent is unrealistic need to leave the house more often and mingle.

Most folks I know do approve of him in general. PS a lot of them are Republicans.

Some people on here need to move on and look at things that are more interesting rather than just another way to yell "Obama...Conspiracy!!!"

Quite a few people actually like this prez.

Personally I am one of them. He is a middle ground president and works with both parties. His values are left, but he works with both parties.

The GOP is the screwed up party right now. They are the ones trying to blow every corporate donor rather than please the middle class.

Anyone who is not a millionaire and supports the GOP is a complete chump. You are kicking yourself in the face.

You can't believe anything the mainstream media has to say.

Here's another angle to consider:

LINK

The Media will hold back nothing to boost Obama's image. 2 weeks ago it they were defending his BC comments for all it was worth, and now it is how great he is after the demise of Osama. (Of course the military had only a miniscule involvement in this take down)

POLLS LIKE THIS MEAN NOTHING.

Many have known since the day he called the Cambridge Police Officer, "stupid", along with 20 years of attending Rev. Wrights Sermons, and his associations with Bill Ayers, Van Jones et al, what this guy was all about.

Oh, and do I need to mention Petrobras?

If I were you I'd tell them to stop looking at the left/right illusion and vote for an actually good president that doesn't keep us in wars, doesn't let banks get away with massive bailouts...etc

Polls are just consensus building for the most part. It doesnt take much at all to make them say what you want them to.

People should focus on acting according to THEIR conscience, and looking less to other for clues to what they should think or what they should do.

The natural human instinct towards conformity to the group is the main weapon being used against us in the media, and like a monster with many heads, you chop one off and another will simply grow to take its place.

If you must look to clues for your behavior and thoughts from someone, look and talk to the people around you. DO NOT let the media tell you what the majority does or does not believe, who does and does not have a chance to win, etc.

Ideally, begin to develop some independence of thought and action, and let your own conscience guide you, without concern for what others are doing or believing. And thats not as anti social as it sounds. People genuinely do have a high degree of cohesiveness of thinking and action. Its just not naturally the same thoughts and actions that outside forces try to convince you it is.

Remember the source of this data. Remember Pat Tillman. Remember the all the lies! Or just remember if their mouth is open, they're about to lie!

Yeah...I would. His name is Ron Paul, but honestly Ron Paul wants to do away with too much. Ron Paul would throw us in a proverbial dark age.

Honestly the only thing that would do what you asked is a revolution. People walking on Washington forcing the gov to do away with the fed reserve and wars via protest.

The honest facts are that USA is large and everyone has to make money to support their family. You can't expect people to get up and protest at the drop of a hat.

I am glad that everyone agrees with me here, Just thought that this would be a good post so that we can all see how the 'world' is evolving.

I love a good conspiracy, but just laugh when I see the masses eating fodder like this up as though it were the celestial kool aid of bliss.......

Thank you kind ATS members for your support and helping me to also see the things that go unoticed!

One has to wonder....who and how many were polled to get that number? Was there 100 people polled? Were there 1000? Funny, I have never been included in any poll, EVER. Yet the media will state "x% of Americans say xyz"...hmmm-really? I have yet to know one person that has ever been included in any of those polls. Have you?

I couldn't agree with you more! I always wonder who the heck they ask? Are they polling government workers, maybe only Washington D.C.? Blue collar workers? College students, specific counties?

Or........ do they just post random numbers in a ploy to control the masses?

Surprise! Surprise! The poll is 100% bogus.

They stacked it with twice as many democrats than republicans.
What a joke.
