He doesn't seem to be in the dark about anything in my opinion.
But he does seem to be big on celebrity status. And yes, the information released is good enough I suppose, but really, mid east wars is all we hear or see.

He's on both sides of the fence folks...

I don't see why signing a confidentiality agreement in that line of work is such a big problem. Police, social workers, teachers, charity volunteers and even school bus drivers MUST sign confidentiality agreements when hired on. It's a sad fact of life when you have to make people promise not to run off at the mouth over juicy gossip... and I think Wikileaks is no different. They have to protect their sources, if they don't.. there would be no protection for whistle blowers whatsoever and they would not come forward with information the public should know.

Face it, most people love to gossip and pass rumors. Confidentiality agreements are a fact of life where sensitive information is involved.

This is ludicrous. I am all for transparency and support it whole-heartedly. However, when you are not releasing these hacked and stolen leaks for transparency but for the institutionalizing of chaos (the Egyptian revolution and the several following Middle East revolutions), you do not deserve any medal.

By the time they are declassified they might. These arent declassified, they are leaked. When they are circulating among people who have the proper clearance, they dont have anything blanked out. What point would that serve?

And what about championing transparency? A confidentiality agreement is not transparent. Sorry but that's bogus.
I agree that in this world everyone must sign one, but with a $20mil pricetag, sorry but it's ridiculous.

Do you happen to be aware of the conditions of the confidentiality agreement?

I am not aware of the contract as it is written. It may be a statement to keep sources private for all we know.

I agree with your point about transparency, but can we really discuss a confidentiality agreement that we haven't read?

We assume this agreement is in opposition of transparency, but what if it isn't?

What else really went on in that room where we were not present? I personally refuse to speculate.
