There would be some positives to having such a system in the interest of public safety which I don't think anyone could fault. The sinister in the
story is the fact that the government will have an easy to use tool with which to identify any and all people who have one of these 'chips' in their
phone. Of course they can already do this, most people don't consider this fact when buying a mobile phone however. I see this as more of a social
experiment, how many people will consciously raise objection to their government implementing such a measure which could be easily misused and limits
their personal liberty, tying them to the state even more than they already are?. Also, the possibility of such a measure being misused, constant
tracking of people? Storage of data collected by these 'chips'? there are many possibilities.
