I have not heard or seen anything on this storm until this morning on a Chinese news page
news.xinhuanet.com...

There are photos of the flooding that seem to be as intense as those in the USA's midsection. The article states that

A total of 117.8 million pesos (2.74 million U.S. dollars) worth of agricultural products have been damaged in the calamity, statistics showed. The figure is expected to rise in the coming days as damage assessments in the affected areas are still ongoing.

Add that loss of agri products to what has been wiped out along the Mississippi and Ohio rivers, and what do we get? Even higher food prices and shortages.

The USA floods are all over MSM, but I see nothing - zip - nada regarding the Phillipines on there. Or am I just getting sloppy at reading the news?

It's not you. We really don't get to be in the news like.....ever. Which is actually good so don't get me wrong. =)

Heh....it never occurred to me to look at Fox! I guess they've been slammed as biased so many times that I just don't pay any attention to them anymore.

I look at world news sites like CNN, BBC, etc, and also smaller independent sites - didn't think about Yahoo or Google. There's nothing on the Weather Channel, even!!

Glad to have brought it here, though.
