What if on May 21st, 2011, "Christ" does "return"?

I, admittedly, have not yet read the 20+ pages of this thread so if somone else has made this observation....sorry. I posted the following observation in another thread that grazed this topic.



This may 21st stuff; There was a preacher around the turn of the century named Miller he had a similar prediction complete with a specific date of Christs return. Needless to say it did not turn out and as a result he lost many followers but there were no suicides or other craziness to my knowledge. He did not lose all his followers and today they are the Seventh Day Adventists and they refer to this event as the great disappointment.
I believe Miller was sincere, however the founder of this May 21st movement may be trying to start his own cult or division of Christianity seeing that it worked for Miller; he may, crassly, be figuring he will lose 50% of his congregation after this does not happen and that will still leave him a lot of followers. By their estimation only 200,000 or so will be saved.
If anyone stands up and says that a specific date is the day of Jesus' return you know that they are wrong; The Bible states "The day & hour no man shall know" certainly not a retired engineer.
His followers seem a little brainwashed they will not think about what they will do if May 22nd comes around and they are stll here because that would be "disbelieving the Bible"

With all this talk about Jesus returning, well it me thinking too. Sorta new to ATS and I couldn't get what I wanted to say out in a post, so I made A web cam rant. I think people are missing the big picture.

Oh, there is a reason all right, and I can tell you in 3 words: Project Blue Beam.

But few here on ATS want to seriously consider this possibility, or discuss HAARP or Scalar Weaponry. But it exists, none-the-less, as does a Shadow Government.

Well that all sorts itself out. It's mostly crazy talk. Those who follow crazy talk, do crazy stuff, and in general nothing good comes of it and the combination of crazies will eventually result in the end of the crazies, which helps end some if not all of the crazy talk. One of the problems with this is that often times, normal people, worried about the crazies, intercede and stop the crazies for their own good, and end up helping keep the crazy alive.

Coincidences DO only go so far. In actuality, at a point, entropy fails. On a long enough cycle of observation random, stops being so random. So if you are the kind of person who looks at the universe convinced it is all perfectly random, then you have to ignore the reality that entropy has limits. And I know that sounds odd but it's true. Entropy does have limits.
If you are the kind of person who looks at the universe convinced there is a direct plan in place to make things happen in a specific way for a specific result. Well then you are just kind of crazy.

Why can't there be an unplanned but organized long term goal, created from the introduction of order into entropy? Probability allows order to rise spontaneously from entropy. When this happens why can't the nature of entropy change fundamentally because of the rise of order?
Order doesn't end entropy. And entropy doesn't "win" because order didn't destroy it. But imagine these two concepts have in space and time a relative gravity. A type of unseen bond that keeps them from parting ways but also keeps their respective repellent natures from allowing them to merge or overlap entirely. As they move forward through time, the circle each other. The very essence of this force like quantum mechanics pulling and repelling each other in what turns into a spiral around each others core and extant.

So the question is, can there be another force, or multiple forces that act on the constant push pull of entropy and order? If so what could they be. Of course we are talking about "concepts" in the sense that these other forces could be construed in any number of ways.

I like to think that there is a considerable other force. Time itself. Nothing can exist in an observable fashion without it. So if time has a form of gravity then that has to affect the spiral.
I just don't know how. I have a hard time even imagining the structure of that little dance you know. Once I get up to that point I can't visualize it any further. It has to be more than just "forward" in time. That is a constant state for everything as we understand it. Forward, even if you go backward, you are just moving in the inverse. There is nothing that suggests that you can move backward in time, faster than you could move forward in time. Or that there is a way to move forward in time faster than just existing in time.

The best part of all of that is none of us will know we are right or wrong. Until we are dead. TADA!!! That's the surprise.

I found that reading your post amused me and made several ideas I already carry combine together. So I wrote what I was thinking about. It should read as very conversational. As though you and I are having coffee at the bar of a dimly lit diner in the early afternoon. The light coming in the windows is bright, but it makes a foggy haze inside the diner, and our waitress, whose name is Dolly no less, is portly and friendly but looks tired. She smiles, but it's a mechanical smile she's turned on and off for 20 years. She is convinced we aren't going to leave a tip, but the surprise for Dolly is that we both enjoyed this conversation, and you, being generous as you are, have planned to leave her ten dollars as a tip for a $1.86 cup of so so coffee. When I see your tip I match it, and Dolly ends up having a great day. Because of our little conversation.

There is nothing in scripture that suggests he will be born by a family!

It all depends on which Jesus Christ you’re talking about, the first real version, or the made up version that came after the original Jesus Christ.

Actually my grandmother was Catholic and tried to raise me Catholic. Didn't work. I grew up in Christian Lutheran/Presbyterian. I spent many years "looking for God" - - as many do. Tried many different beliefs - - for many years. I was Mormon for 5 years later in life as I married one. We both left the church.

I stepped out of the "God circle" and realized we believe in God because we are told God exists. Thinking independently - - it made zero sense to me.

What does make sense to me is Ancient Astronauts.

Related to the subject but somewhat different, I noticed a few posters questioning judgement on those who practice good deeds, but worshipped no-one.

IF, we have a GOD who is only interested in judging us, based on our adulation and/or fear of him is this really a good thing? Because if that truly existed, we could commit all the crime we wanted too, be as "evil" as we liked, but would be saved because we actually believed in him and FEARED HIM?

I believe only that which I can personally see, hear, feel and experience. I have experienced and felt things which cannot be explained, and created intense curiosity within myself to further explore them. In my world, they exist, but I know not what they are, and I choose to live free from fear.

If a GOD/Father created the heavens and the earth, and all that dwell upon thee, what should I be fearful of? I know I am far from perfect, and my being is then an extension of the creator is it not? Which would suggest GOD is an imperfect being?

If I am to be judged, be it on the deeds and actions of my lifes journey. Let me be judged on the effect I had on others, on my dreams, hopes and fears - let me be judged on the purity of my being, not on whether or not I believed in God or Jesus.

I have often wondered, perhaps if there was/is a god, he simply wants humanity to grow up, and start acting in a kind, compassionate and respectful way, ON OUR OWN. Until such time he has let us get on with it. However we have become so focused on having a saviour, we forgot to save ourselves. We forgot to act divine, passing our responsibility onto a religious institution. Perhaps we are not supposed to follow jesus, but become like him, and that is the true way to heaven, if it exists in the terms defined by the religious controllers.

So if on May 21st, JC makes a comeback, I ask him to look within my being and judge me on how I am. And if he doesn't... 21 Dec 2012 should be a day to ready to popcorn

Jesus Christ was born to Joseph, Mary, and his older children so he did have kids his age and older and younger to hang with. Judas was I beleive Mary's technical 2nd and Joseph's 7th. Joseph's first wife Salome died while giving birth to a stillborn 7th kid.

It was Mary's 1st marriage and Joseph's 2nd hence the family. They were chosen about 20 - 30 years before the event occured. The Star formation The 3 Wise Men saw was the indication from God and The Gov't Of The Divine that The Messiah is soon here.

Well if Jesus returns now as in reborn as a baby then he is hella late, and we are screwed. We don't have time to wait for him to grow up. Unless he returns as he was when crucified age at 33? Or maybe he has been here and is grown up now and will reveal himself? IDK
