Individuals with Bombay phenotype blood group can only be transfused with blood from other Bombay phenotype individuals. Given that this condition is very rare, any person with this blood group who needs an urgent blood transfusion will probably be unable to get it, as no blood bank would have any in stock. Those anticipating the need for blood transfusion (e.g. in scheduled surgery) may bank blood for their own use (i.e., an autologous blood donation), but this option is not available in cases of accidental injury

Good grief.

O- cannot receive blood byproducts from anyone except for another O-. Even AB negative can receive O- by products. AB- is the rarest when it comes to the percentage of people with this type. However, O- is the purest and can be effectively given to anyone, Rh positive or Rh negative, regardless of blood type.

I don't know where some of this misinformation comes from.

I'm very interested in the frequencies mentioned also. My parents have a neighbor with a gigantic HAM set-up. And since I'm going to be there for Mothers day today (Happy moms day to all you awsome moms, by the way), I may venture over and shoot some small talk with the guy and see about getting some info. I am + ...B+ to be specific...and I can assure you, I have not one iota of fear. If it is the positives that are to be met with something dastardly then perhaps this "feeling" of positivity and "change is coming, but it will be okay" that I have been having, that increases by the day, is in effect a morphine approach. Where by, I am being numbed by said feeling as a deterrent to what's to come.

Or, these "feelings" are just what they feel like ....valid.

Well I dont know where your information came from, but mine came from the American Red Cross and International Rare Blood type registry.

I have NEVER seen any blood being referred to as "the most pure" as this sounds rediculous.

Oh and btw, someone needs to stretch their sarcasm detection muscle, I think yours might be off kilter.

The 142 would depend on which table your score was evaluated on Terman's or Wechler's?



On Terman's I received a 138 on Wechsler's I received a 113, but classified as 116 in the end due to certain demographics involved with calculating said score i.e. age, sex, etc.
