Obama Staged Photos of bin Laden Death Announcement

Until Wednesday, the White House debated whether to release photos showing Osama bin Laden’s body. In theory, the photos would be proof to any doubters that the terrorist is dead. But not all photos can be believed — not even when they seem to show the president of the United States making a historic speech.

Reuters White House photographer Jason Reed describes how the president made his speech to a single TV camera, then immediately after finishing, he pretended to speak for the still cameras.

Reed writes:

“As President Obama continued his nine-minute address in front of just one main network camera, the photographers were held outside the room by staff and asked to remain completely silent. Once Obama was off the air, we were escorted in front of that teleprompter and the President then re-enacted the walk-out and first 30 seconds of the statement for us.”

That means the photograph that appeared in many newspapers Monday morning of Obama speaking may have been the staged shot, captured after the president spoke. This type of staging has been going on for decades.

Just as it says in the article - this has been done for decades. If you're delivering a speech you don't know precisely what the Media want until after it (If there's been no discussion beforehand). I've been in that situation myself several times where once I've given the media what I had to say they then ask 'Can you pick up that paper? Can you look at this camera, that camera, look down, look straight ahead?' and it all gets edited in afterwards as a continuous shot. Nothing untoward there - it's how the media works. Always has been.

Practicing and running drills for press conferences is nothing new as that keeps it smooth and seemless. This is required so that he don't fumble or foul up while addressing the nation in order to exert a cool, calm, collectiveness that reverberates throughout the rest of the nation as POTUS always in most cases will make the first move and is the person chosen to set the tone for the entire nation and someone who doesn't know how to behave in front of the camera is someone we do not want in a position of power. When he's confident we as a nation as a whole are confident. It is apart of the aura that POTUS is to project upon "His people" and the nation.

The overall collective feeling of the nation begins with POTUS!

This has to be the biggest non story ever, I know you would love to paint the president badly but this is really a stretch.

Apparently no one realizes that even before the cam is turned on and the press are allowed in it's rehearsed like 10 times to ensure accuracy and flawless delivery to the likes of both military percision! We are notorious for this! That is what POTUS does while the Press are in The White House Press Core Waiting Room, the Conference Room is directly across the hall. Only The Press Core is allowed in before POTUS only in meetings of The Press Core! We are infamous for this and is legendary!

Because if it wasn't recorded properly - Limbaugh/Beck/Hannity would be ranting about it the next day. For instance everyone in the world uses a teleprompter (except for those that write on their plams) Obama uses a teleprompter the whole trinity starts to wonder how he ever graduated from community college. Or they write non stories like the one above -- geesh give ignorance a break he is being way over worked.
