Anyone familiar with Michael Cremo? He's the author of Forbidden Archeology. I found this Youtube where is is giving a lecture about his research. It's fascinating but if you're not into lectures and slide shows, I'm sorry

It's a 6 part series

I've seen that one before and it's quite fascinating.

While I don't necessarily agree with everything Cremo says, I will say that he's definitely done his homework and brings a lot of good stuff to light Whether he is right or wrong on things is not even close to as important as just giving out the sheer raw data he has. You can come to your own conclusions with that info.

Well. hmm, he basically describes our human orgin
. Like another poster said above, he really does his homework. So it's hard to go over everything. But I can leave you with this. He tells us that during the Gold Rush a geologist was on site as they dug into the mountain side. As the they dig deeper they're basically going back in time in the earth's natural geologic record. Well, guess what was found deep inside the mountain? Modern human remains. Lots, and he sent them to a very well know museum who told him his find goes against the current Darwinism evolution. They're still there, in the back somewhere collecting dust. There;s much more too. So save this for when you get home.

That's called the Calaveras skeleton, and it was stored in a basement at UC Berkley. The sediments it came from are supposed to have been deposited at least 200 million years ago. It doesn't fit with the notion of gradualism so the evidence has been dismissed. If you saw for yourself the ancient river channel the bones were found in, gradualism sue wouldn't make as much sense as catastrophism.

You kidding?
I would listen to a 10 hour lecture on dog feacal matter as long as it had some sort of an anachronism in it!

History rocks, especially if it fits and goes against the mainstream view.
We know victors make the history not the dead.

I agree whole heartily. There are things I don't 100% agree with, well no I take that back, I 100% agree with him that Modern Man is much much older than science and religion want us to believe. And you nailed it when you say the importance is the details and the raw data he can deliver. Spread the knowledge, i say

This was just AWESOME! It's something I have believed in for a very long time! The human race goes through cycles, and we have been here for a very, very long time. I often wonder if we are the most advanced our race has ever gotten; or if we are just at the beginning, or midway point to where our ancestors have been.

Religion is just a tool of control over a population. Nothing more. If their is a god or devil or jesus or angels or demons, then where are they? Show yourselves already! You've had 30 million years. oh right! You just have to believe. The last time I checked they lock you up in a padded room for talking to imaginary friends.

Modern science is no better. This shows you that they cover up all information that isn't to their liking. What has science actually done lately? Has it cured the common cold, flu, cancer, aids, MS, arthritis, Hodgkins, anything in the last 20 years? If their is a cure for anything, it's not a real cure, just a painkiller. They can't even cure baldness. oops they did make hard ons though lol. And guess what, they never will cure anything while there is money to be made on treatments.

This world is a joke, and a lie! It's just a lie that we all live in.

This guys research also opens other doors. The "what if" doors. What if Atlantis was real and not just a story. What if some of those other fairy tales where based in reality. What if the reason for different species was that their where 4 or 10 or 20 different species of man running around. What if we did live on the moon at one point, or mars or other places and due to accidents we all ended up here. What if offshoots of our races are out there somewhere right now populating other planets light years from us. What if the ufo's we see are our long lost brothers visiting us. What if a catastrophe happens again and wipes most of us out? Will we remember our own past in a few generations?

Hey look! It's something with the academic rigor of a children's sci-fi story!

I'm sorry, but none of these claims is backed by any hard scientific data and not a single one of them has any support in any evidence. It's all wild speculation based on ignorance.

Hmm maybe? He does show his sources so you can see if they check out. If they don't add up, you win

I'm just passing on information. What you do with it is up to you

I know how ya feel! I'm happy you liked it so much. I knew it would be appreciated here by believers and skeptics alike. Nothing better than a new outlook to explore. If you wanna know what our actual past could have been, for you to understand you'll have to, hmmm.. suspend disbelief. Yes, suspended disbelief. I know of a fantastic story that could very well be our past. Even if it isn't it's still the best story never told, imo. But, thats for another thread and another time, but I will be bringing it up soon

*Sigh* Yet more ignorant babble. If you knew anything about science or the illnesses you describe, you'd realise how absurd your statements are. What have you done for science lately? Oh that's right, sat on your lazy butt doing nothing, never mind the fact that statistically you there's a good chance you wouldn't be alive if it were not for science. Fancy curing cancer for us?

China? No, but I might as well be! New Zealand has the slowest and most expensive internet in the world, and I am on dial up...
