OBL Inconsistencies - What they said at first VS. What they're saying now

In my head things seemed not only a little strange, but outright bizarre as I watched on in confusion as the news broke about Osama's death. A few days on and there seems to be many holes burning through the possible fabrication of this story, beginning with the inconsistencies in the White Houses testimonies.

When was Osama Killed?

What they said at first: "After a firefight they killed Osama bin Laden and took custody of his body" - Barack Obama, May 2nd 2011

What they're saying now: "The team were engaged in a firefight throughout the operation, and Osama bin Laden was killed by the assaulting force." - Jay Carney, May 3rd 2011

So was he killed during the battle or after it had finished? His daughter has claimed that Osama was caught within minutes and then shot dead. However, the White House are claiming he was caught by bullets as the raid took place.

Did Osama use a Human Shield?

What they said at first: "There was a female who was in fact in the line of fire that reportedly was used as a shield to shield Bin Laden from the incoming fire." - John Brennan May 2nd 2011

What they're saying now: "In the room with Bin Laden, his wife rushed the US assaulter and was shot in the leg but not killed." Jay Carney - May 3rd 2011

The headline grabbing idea that Osama was not quite so willing to be a martyr as his disciples must be, was perfect at showing what a coward he was, thank god we shot him dead there and then... However, John Brennan incorrectly said that Bin Laden's wife had died, the woman who was actually shot dead was on a different floor to Osama. Perhaps proof at how ready the US president and his team are to sensationalise the death of Osama. Yet they are unwilling to present "trophy photo's"

Was Osama Armed and did he Fire?

What they said at first: "He was engaged in a firefight with those that entered the are of the house he was in. And whether or not he got off any rounds, I quite frankly don't know." - John Brennan, May 2nd 2011

What they're saying now "Bin Laden was shot and killed. He was not armed, I think resistance does not require a firearm." - Jay Carney, May 3rd 2011

If Osama had in fact fired at the Navy Seals, the justification for immediately shooting to kill is a fair case. But now they are saying he wasn't armed at all, but had "resisted". They haven't said in what form he had resisted though, was he trying to run? Did he reach inside his robe? Did he take too long to raise his hands? Personally, I don't think the idea that it's unfair on his human rights to just shoot him without trying to take him alive, is why they should have tried to arrest him first. However I do think, as the head of the biggest terrorist network in the world, that he would have had some vital information that could've been waterboarded out of him as the American's love to do. Surely he was worth more alive for a few days in custody before being put in the chair? That is if he even had anything to do with 9/11

Was there any Intention to take him Alive?

What they said at first: "If we had the opportunity to take Bin Laden alive, if he didn't present any threat, the individuals involved were able and prepared to do that." - John Brennan, May 2nd 2011

What they're saying now: "Bin Laden could've surrendered if US troops were confident of that in terms of his not having IED on his body, his not having some type of hidden weapon or whatever." - John Brennan, May 3rd 2011

This is the latest statement from John Brennan from a Fox News interview, and it suggests that they had no real plan to take Osama alive. I guess anything is possible, but I doubt an ageing man with kidney failure, who has armed guards surrounding his house would sit around in a semtex heavy vest, just in case.

White House Quotes Source
(If the quotes aren't on the site it's because I typed them from the actual newspaper)
Jay Carney - White House Spokesman
John Brennan - Head Counter-Terrorism Advisor to the President

I just want to say that I personally don't actually believe Bin Laden had/has much to do with 9/11 at all. I subscribe to the idea that the US government did it to justify war and many other oil grabbing opportunities that have risen from orchestrated fear of terror that has engulfed the world.

I don't know if I believe Osama died years ago and they were saving this up for when they really needed to wipe the fan clean, or if he's actually still alive but has agreed to sign another 10 year contract of silence and compulsory beard shaving as he sits in the shadows.

Either way the inconsistencies only add fuel to the conspiracy story. I appreciate people can make mistakes, but surely the most powerful country in the world would be sure to have all of their t's crossed and their i's dotted, when giving out information about the operation and resulting murder of the worlds most wanted terrorist. None of this seems to add up.

I agree with you.

I think we need to collect as much detail in to what we have been told from the very first words that Obama stated, to everything thats been stated by him, others in the whitehouse, the media and more.

If only to prove that it`s them that has cooked up a story and not " Conspiracy theorists " acting loopy.

Exactly, they're always so quick to blame the "conspiracy nuts" but it seems to be them who is doing the work for us at the moment.

I tried to reconstruct what we had been told up to the point when I posted this:

FOG OF WAR

The great uncertainty of all data in war is a peculiar difficulty, because all action must, to a certain extent, be planned in a mere twilight, which in addition not infrequently — like the effect of a fog or moonshine — gives to things exaggerated dimensions and unnatural appearance - Carl von Clausewitz

Wait for the after action report. That will be the sotry "from the horses mouth" and will clear up most of the questions.

Thanks for posting this thread ..

this is what I'm thinking too tired of be considered as a disbeliever and the thought of me taking their every word as being true somehow we need to document all of this so that it can be known .. just as Ashly said if we don’t take their word for it we are being called conspiracy nuts .. what a crock of BS .. for what ever reason they have to be doing this is beyond me still asking why? why would master mind such lies??? If OBL was already dead why didn’t they just admit that .. every thing is so distorted ..

there are more holes in this story than obama's BC...sorta funny how there are news articles talking about the actual attack and quoting un-named seals and giving a rundown of the operation...what?!? already?!?
then you have this thread.....www.abovetopsecret.com...

here on ATS the 'white house insider ulsterman has already been dubunked as a fake source"..but that is not true for the thousand that are read his stuff on the web..so now he says obama knew nothing about the actual raid..i beg to differ..

" In March Barack Obama began chairing a series of five national security meetings. At the last of these, on Friday 29 April, while the world's attention was on the royal wedding taking place in London, he gave the order to mount an operation.
"At that meeting, at 8.20am in the diplomatic room at the White House, Obama met his national security adviser Thomas Donilon, counter-terrorism adviser John O Brennan, and other senior national security aides to go through the detailed plan to attack the compound and sign the formal orders authorising it, the New York Times reported."

www.guardian.co.uk...

"There was not going to be another delay as had happened 24 hour earlier. The operation was at this time effectively unknown to President Barack Obama or Valerie Jarrett and it remained that way until AFTER it had already been initiated. President Obama was literally pulled from a golf outing and escorted back to the White House to be informed of the mission."

Am not looking to usurp your thread, but I started this one as I was watching the live news conference Sunday night.

ATS Thread

I woke my husband and everyone else in the house so they could watch and listen as well. Almost immediately, we started asking "What?", "Huh?", "Did I hear that right?"

Since Sunday night literally everything the talking heads have said has been contradicted, changed, altered, updated, added to, detracted from, etc. ad nauseum....I've never been an Obama supporter, but this type of cobbled together hokum I would question from ANY administration.

Whether they had a "live feed" or not is immaterial. The White House scheduled a press conference at 10:30 pm EDT. The President did not speak on camera until 11:35 pm EDT. That's an hour and five minutes difference, ample time to coordinate an official press release without getting the details screwed up. I doubt that Obama walked directly from the situation room to make his announcement, so it isn't like it happened just moments before....and they still can't get it right !!!

Walter Cronkite is rolling over in his grave !

Yes, yes fog of war.

But this wasn't some huge tank battle out in the desert.

Clausewitz couldn't have envisioned this kind of action.

Obama and staff watched it on a screen, then mysteriously changed their story. Did what they watched on the screen change too?

There are inconsistencies but it I find it hard to believe that SEAL Team Six would have been fully de-briefed when the president made his announcement and I think some of this accounts for some of the inconsistencies. Part of me would be more suspicious if they came out with a perfect story the inconsistencies have been corrected and this re-enforces for me that they are telling the truth rather than they are trying to cover stuff up. Some of their corrections make the administration look bad, such as admitting he was unarmed.

CNN just reported that Bin Laden Jr was killed on the stairs. Per the photographs circulating on the web, the son is shown lying in a pool of gore at the foot of a bed. Comparing the stills I've seen to the video on the news channels, the bloody spot the MSM is showing is where the son died, not Osama.

They just keep digging a bigger hole. Before long it's gonna be large enough for Bin Laden & all of Obama's administration.

ETA: I want to retract my statement. After looking again at the photos, it does appear that Jr. is lying on some sort of tiled landing with marble risers....uh-oh....changed my story....guess I'm in on it too..

I can't beleive that after 911 after all the hundreds of theories official and unofficial, conspiracy websites, documentaries around the world, all the interviews, the groups questing for truth, the amount of heavy sh** that has rained down on the US govt since day 1(or sept 11 to be precise) they could not get this right, organised with a precise, concise press conference. Even if they have to lie to us then at least spend a little bit of time getting a consistent lie right, one where you dont have to backtrack a couple of days or a day after spouting it. Really how hard can it be to get a story straight? You have SF guys sworn to secrecy so they arent going to say anything, you can sort a body out when you have the resources of the US and forge any sort of document to say the body is OBL or even...do the job and not say anything, if it goes wrong who would know?
The US govt again looks ridiculous and I actually wanted them to get this right!

It gives me the feeling that either TPTB are not quite as organised as we convince ourselves they are, or this is all being constructed this way. Personally I doubt the latter and have thought for a while that TPTB don't actually have the total grip of the world that we're led to believe.

Add to the inconsistencies the fact that at first we were told it was recorded. Then there was a 25 minute blackout during the op. Now supposedly the whole thing was recorded again.

And thanks to the biggest idiot VP ever Biden for letting it slip it was the Navy Seals, who are now scared for their families lives. Check the records.

Why yes, the verion changed yet again. This time. NO DOUBLE tap to the left side of the skull.

One to the chest and one to the head-as reported today-here.

Sources: Navy SEALs Knew Bin Laden Mission Was One-Shot Deal
From the news article:

As three of the SEALs reached the top of the steps on the third floor, they saw bin Laden standing at the end of the hall. The Americans recognized him instantly, the officials said.

Bin Laden also saw them, dimly outlined in the dark house, and ducked into his room.

The three SEALs assumed he was going for a weapon, and one by one they rushed after him through the door, one official described.

Two women were in front of bin Laden -- yelling and trying to protect him, two officials said. The first SEAL grabbed the two women and shoved them away, fearing they might be wearing suicide bomb vests, they said.

The SEAL behind him opened fire at bin Laden, putting one bullet in his chest, and one in his head.

It was over in a matter of seconds.

This would contrast to the report issued the other day, based on info from Obama Senior People (from my thread)

I think it's been mentioned, but yes, there was the inconsistency about the live feed. First the president 'monitored it' in real time, then no, it wasn't a live feed, because there was a blackout.

And there's the little detail of the helicopter crash - which is hardly mentioned, but which in fact is on the way to becoming a major issue. I just started a thread on this earlier. An eye witness report (as yet the info has not been able to be confirmed) states that the mission was aborted and failed because of the helicopter crash.

www.abovetopsecret.com...

Having read this eye witness report, for me it makes more sense than the official garbage they have been spewing out.
