We are hearing about the medicinal use of this drug more and more. I found this to be a fascinating story and believe the medical establishment would do well to use it under controlled conditions.

But then we all know that Big Pharma wouldn't allow them to do that.

A tad misleading, your headline OP. The chemo cured him, the marijuana enabled the kid to actually not get sick and keep his food down. Still, so glad that his dad did this for him as it turned out to be the correct decision.

The sad thing is, this thread will get binned to some esoteric section of this website where no one will ever see it.

But bloody corpses are fine.

Still couldnt get much more mainstream than the source so ta hell with the anti pot ATS bias nothing they can do to keep this kind of news down.

I just dont bother posting this kind of stuff here makes me mad when it get binned or sent for review permanently

Your title is a bit misleading! I found the article interesting, but it seems you missed the following statement:
"He credits the cannabis oil with helping his son get through the chemo, and say Cash has now been declared cancer free by doctors."

It really is a good idea to read the whole article before making extreme claims.

Actually chemo has very very poor track record of 'curing' ANY cancers, though it does show a very limited use in shrinking some tumors but often kills the patient at a later date. Many doctors surveyed woudn't even allow this practice on themsleves.

While I have no data showing cannabis reverses cancer, the disease does appear (IMO) to respond favorably to non-synthetic molecules that boost up the bodies own defensive mechanisms to deal more effectively with cancer and other diseases.

Also it should be known that while BIg Pharma, like any business, seeks to undermine and destroy when possible any market competitors, they now as of late are attempting to research and market some nearly 2 dozen based compounds based off of cannabis.

We are way past due for a revolution mes amis

Local story to me. Sad that the dispensary where they obtain the mm from was shut down due to a Fed raid. The WA State Gov., is setting more strict laws, that could put a lot of sick people in jail for little reason, because of reported illegal activity within local offices.

The only way IMO that I can understand where one molecule is labelled as 'bad', and another molecule that does bascially the same thing is labelled as 'good', is the patent process, that allows one to own the rights to the molecule and hence the huge profits. As cannibas is attempted to be kept in the 'bad' pile, many other synthetic drugs that also raise many of the same levels of neurotransmitters are actually being PUSHED out into society at an incredibley frantic pace.

. So many people I know and work with are taking all of these knew SSRI's and similar mood altering drugs and they being handed out like candy to patients everyday, when I imagine it might be equally affective and maybe even less toxic for them to have a cannabis prescription from their physician to treat such things as clinical depression and PTSD among other things.

As with most anything though just follow the money and it leads back to the real source of the nature of the problem which is decisions based in politics and profit rather than in reason and rational thinking.

As this is the third thread on the subject I have read today, which I agree with by the way, I am copying and pasting my response to one of those read earlier, but I DID F&S this one too!

This information should NEVER be hidden and this plant should NEVER have been banned!

Read "Hemp for Health", "The Emperor wears no clothes" etc, etc, etc!!!

Educate yourself on the (political/economic/greedy/SELFISH) reasons why this plant and it's byproducts were banned and the MANY reasons why that should not have happened!

Alchohol is MORE poisonous than all of the Hemp on the planet combined, and KILLS more people than all of the Hemp on the planet could! BUT, alchohol is LEGAL!

You are allowed to kill yourself and others, legally, with alcohol, but you are not allowed to HEAL yourself and others AND the planet with a plant, a "weed", a natural substance!

Makes sense....to someone....somewhere, it's just that no-one knows who...or where!!!!
