Anyone else have bad feelings about the next space shuttle launch?

I have a feeling something bad may happen. But I really have nothing to go on except my "gut feeling" (which I admit means nothing). I hope the launch is successful, but it seems more likely now more than ever before in recent years that there will be a third shuttle tragedy (just because it's the second-to-last mission)...

I know some people believe 9/11 was an inside job (this seems probable to me), so if you believe that it doesn't seem that impossible that the government would be behind a space shuttle "accident" to manipulate the public's emotions...then again it could be a simple accident.

I'm not one of those people who wants to be right about impending tragedies and I know I don't really have good prophetic ability....and even if I did, you know, Cassandra syndrome (if you knew the future people wouldn't believe it anyway..)

I have not a single doubt in my mind that our government could possibly orchestrate a large scale disaster or terrorist attack, I doubt it would be shuttle related purely due to the cost and exposure. 9/11 hit a populated area with a relatively lost cost plan. A space shuttle would cost so millions more and would not be as easy to fake.

Do you have any information or links on the next take off ?

it's been delayed twice.
It was supposed to be launched on April 29 but there were problems with the heater auxiliary power unit (or something). The launch would have been overshadowed by the royal wedding anyway. So it was rescheduled to May 2. And they still didn't feel ready (and that launch would have been overshadowed by the death of Osama bin Laden too!)

So now it's supposed to take off on May 10.

I always have a bad feeling about shuttle launches. Delays aren't uncommon they happen all the time, and generally if they find one concern they find more and so it's delayed longer. This is the last mission so I think it'll be alright.

Good thing this is the last mission. The shuttles are nearly space junk. So outdated, time for a new space program. I prefer one with a capsule on top so if the rocket does explode, the astronauts still have a chance to survive. I always feel uncomfortable when a shuttle launches these days. I wouldn't want to ride in one.

There was something odd about the timing of the launch. I think it has to do with the spheres program. Whatever the reason, thank god the russians found a non violent way to delay it.

I admire your courage. But not everyone feels as you. Many have families and other loved ones that may rely on them, so death is not a desired option. I agree though, would be one hell of a ride.

Quite a few remote viewers have been seeing a problem with some spaceship/satellite. Most are saying it has to do with the ISS, but with how RV works it could very well be this spaceship that's going to launch.

Apparently the shuttle Endeavour was damaged during the launch.
