Pakistani neighbour of bin Laden arrested

www.news.com.au

PAKISTANI soldiers arrested a peasant in Abbottabad near the compound where Al-Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden was killed in a US raid, the man's relatives and police said.

Shamrez Khan, 50, was arrested by Pakistani security officials a few hours after the US-led operation yesterday, according to his son and neighbours.

So now, begins the process of eliminating anyone who could shed some light onto who really lived in the home which was attacked.

No details as to why the gentlemen has been arrested, and any reasons that emerge are going to be highly suspect.

I wonder if this fellow will be 'buried at sea' also?

I think Pakistan were just desperate to show that they could do something, anything at all, rather than be left empty handed and shamed after having thier own country raided like that.

Edit - Actually, it might be smart in terms of inter-country relations if the USA could now throw some crumbs to Pakistan. And if the USA actually knew that this peasant guy was also involved, to let Pakistan know.

They probably arrested him for helping Americans.

I can imagine ISI is having fits after having their golden one taken out.

He's looking good for a guy who's meant to have been shot in the head twice. I don't think thats him, most likely some Afghan combatant getting treatment.

The only way we could have access to any videos taken during the raid would be from a Navy seal leak or some intercept of satellite info during transmission....I'm sure that this video is bogus or it isn't Bin Laden!

I doubt thats OBL-The spec ops were ordered to shoot to kill,so why would they be patching the guy up?
Also, looks like a older video camera was used,as opposed to today's digital cameras(which I would expext the spec ops to carry these days).

This, the Pakistani Government will be doing everything possible to remove all traces and links back to them, so that they can continue to deny that they have been helping him and his associates hide for the last 10+ years whilst continuing to leech billions in "Aid" off of western countries during that time....
