Dr. Tobias Owen, who is now professor of astronomy at the University of Hawaii, identified the Face on Mars on Viking frame 35A72. The same frame, covering approximately 34 by 31 miles - also shows many other features that could be artificial. These cluster around latitude 40 degrees north in the region of Mars known to astronomers as Cydonia, and were photographed from an altitude of more than 1,000 miles with relatively poor resolution.

A striking characteristic of the pyramids and Sphinx of Giza is the way in which they are integrated into a grand architectural plan, based on mathematical and astronomical data. There is no evidence that the pyramids were used as tombs. What is certain is that two narrow shafts emanating from inside the Great Pyramid were directed to two specific stars: Zeta Orionis, one of the three stars in Orion's belt, and Sirius, in the constellation of Canis Major.

The space agency's almost unbelievable lack of interest since photographic Frame 35A72 was taken by the Mars orbiting Viking craft in 1976, and its obstinate disregard for calls from other scientists to investigate the Cydonia mystery further, have raised suspicions of a cover-up. And why not? We know that our governments selectively censor potentially traumatic or destabilizing information. If something has been found with the potential to upset established social values and religious beliefs, then it is reasonable to suppose we might not have been told about it yet. What makes this seem more probable is the fact that NASA's probe, Mars Observer, scheduled to rephotograph Cydonia in 1993 in response to growing pressure, failed to do so due to alleged technical problems (the orbiter was 'lost' by mission control at the crucial moment). Also noteworthy is the fact that NASA's constitution authorizes it to co-operate with agencies directly concerned with national defense and specifically obliges it to withhold from the public information classified to protect national security'. It is; therefore, by no means impossible that information has been withheld. If NASA really does have a secret interest in the Monuments of Mars, it would be expected that such an interest would also have been manifested here on Earth, in particularly, the three great pyramids and the Sphinx at Giza in Egypt.

Yep, here we go again with NASA or [Never a Straight Answer].

A great post my friend and one that will KEEP coming up until the truth is revealed.

You only have to read two books to see what has been going on with the cover up.

"Dark Mission" by Richard C Hoagland and "Rule by Secrecy" by Jim Marrs.

There is absolutely no doubt that our whole human history has been covered up by "someone", and that there is definately a few people on this planet who know everything about the cover up.

Oh, I forgot to throw in Zecharia Sitchin, his "End of Days' book is also recommended reading together with the two books previously mentioned.

Seriously dude, that chunk of text you stole from the other website was written in 2002.
Nearly ten years ago.
Things have changed since then, more photos of "the face" etc.
You'd bring yourself some more credibility if you had some kind of argument or position on the way things are today, with the new images available today, rather than use somebody elses old outdated historical argument.

Romka,

Did you just copy and paste the text in your post? It would be interesting to hear some of your personal thoughts about the many artifacts that have been discovered on Mars.

I'm very familiar with this subject as I have been researching the Mars anomalies for quite some time. Mars was once inhabited with a vibrant and thriving civilization that collapsed under a global catastrophe. The remnants of this civilization are literally scattered over the entire surface of the planet and can be easily seen by internet users. Arizona.edu archives the imagery sent down to earth from the MRO (Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter) on their HiRISE website.

If you go to the site, simply download the Helioviewer software (free) and then browse through the 18,000 images in their library. When you come across an interesting photograph, all you have to do is download it and then scan it with the Helioviewer. The software can zoom in to show very good detail and you can also use different color filters to enhance what you're seeing.

The things I've found include: spacecraft, excavations, dams, missile parts, towers and my greatest find was the skeleton of an enormous aquatic creature resting in what looks like a holding pen of some sort.

Anyone who thinks that Mars is desolate and barren of life is in need of a serious adjustment. One of the things that NASA doesn't tell the general public is that the OAT (outside air temperature) gets up to 27 degrees Celsius (80 degrees F.) during a typical spring day. That's why the rovers used solar panels for power and not RTGs. (radioisotope thermoelectric generators) If you had scuba gear, you could walk around on the surface of Mars during the day in shorts and flip flops! (Of course, you might also require some radiation shielding.)

Good post. We'll see what is stirs up.

Did you happen to mark any of those locations or could provide a link to where you found any of these? Links to any of this other information? That would be much appreciated by many people here. Sounds like sci-fi otherwise. Interesting though.

Wouldn't the atmospheric pressure actually expand your body tissues? Im pretty sure that has some dire consequences of some sort. Hence pressurized space suits.

Erongaricuaro,

Finding artifacts on the surface of Mars is extremely easy. I'll tell you how to do it:

Go to this website: hirise.lpl.arizona.edu...

Once you're on their homepage, you will see links across the top for different sections of the site. The "catalog" section archives all of the digital imagery that is returned from MRO. There are over 18,000 images stored there.

In order to zoom into the photographs, a user needs a viewer for JPEG2000 format. The website provides one. On their homepage, scroll to the bottom and find a link for "Software" and click on it.

You will see three different selections of software that can be used for viewing imagery. The Planetary Data System and IAS Viewer are unusable, at least for me. Download the JHelioviewer software. It works and is easy to use.

Next, browse through the 18,000 images in the archive and select a photograph that you find interesting. When you find one, download the image onto your computer.

Then simply start the JHelioviewer software and open the downloaded image that you found to be compelling.

Important notes: the Helioviewer software talks to the JPL website while you're using it. When I discovered this, I turned off my internet connection each time I was scanning images. JPL doesn't need to know what I'm doing.

The Helioviewer software will zoom in to provide some very clear details of the surface of Mars, but you have to remember that the imagery is tampered with before it's released to the public.

Included in the software are different color filters and other settings that will help you see artifacts more clearly. Use these features. They will help you greatly.

Finally, and most important, scan the images slowly as if you were taking a walk across the hills and dunes of Mars. A favorite hobby of mine is to travel to a remote location, like the scrub plains of Texas, and spend days scouring the ground for artifacts from ancient Indian civilizations. (arrow heads, spear points, pottery, etc.)

After some practice and patient viewing, I promise you'll find artifacts. Mars is littered with them. They are remnants of a vast civilization that lived there.

I'll post some of the artifacts that I've found on ATS when I have more time.

Topherman,

Nah, the atmosphere on Mars is quite benign, actually. NASA has kept this secret for many years. The surface of Mars looks a lot like the Arizona hills and desert and NOT like the red dustball that they want you to believe.

The pressure on the surface would be easy for us to deal with. Radiation, however, is a different story.

Check out Joe Skipper's website: www.marsanomalyresearch.com.... He tells the fascinating tale of Mars' history and reveals all the secrets that have been kept from us.

Erongaricuaro,

Finally found some time to upload some of my Mars artifact finds. This was my first time posting images on ATS.

In the photos you can see what looks like the remains of machinery of some kind. Personally, I think the bell housing-shaped object and the conical object are parts from a missile or space craft.

The images are displayed in different colors by using the color filters that are part of the Helioviewer software. The color change from image to image helps to see detail a little better.

Remember, the images are not very clear because the resolution of the data that the public sees is not nearly as good as what NASA sees.

This is just a small sample of the finds I've come across. When I have more time, I'll post more.
