Star for your post.

To the OP and those that follow his/her train of thought.

How many of you young uns would risk facing a line of policemen marching towards you in battle formation with billy clubs, shields and visors?

I did and spent one night in jail for protesting my rights (peacefully) against the war in Vietnam.

Bunch of wussies, no guts, no empathy, since Reagan's era it's all about me, me, me and money, money, money.

My husband marched against black segregation and got to meet and speak with Dr. Martin Luther King before the CIA had him assassinated.

How many of you young ones here have the guts to march to go up physically against authority.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh most of you are a bunch of mind controlled sheep.

Both my husband and I put our money where our mouths are.

I still volunteer two nights a month at a homeless shelter...................and have done volunteer work for the ASPC and Habitat for Humanity.

Have you?

The only way humanity is going to flourish is by turning from me, me, me to we, we, we.

Service to Self at everyone's expense = destruction

Service to Others with no "pay back" = heaven on earth

Most 20-30 year olds are not well read, and totally self absorbed. They are spoiled and do not research or think deeply.

Humanity has been dumbed down and I blame the educational system, the large corporations, the banks, Xboxes, video games, the dumb dumb dumb content of most TV and moveis and between the apathy of really finding out what your goverenment is doing (which requires watching the Senate and Congressional channels).

Usually I can read any post and tell approximately the age group by how educated and mature sounding the poster is.

Most under 30 year olds do not have as good a command of the english language or vocabulary compared to those of us over 50.

They also do not have the apathy or heart.

Now, read, Dr. David Jacob's book, "The Threat" and my user name.

Talk about a mother of all conspiracies...............many (not all) of you young ones aren't totally human, your cold, heartless and controlled by powers unseen.

Yup, you're darn straight that this thread belongs in the "US Political Madness" forum. If left up to the OP, why not just kill anyone over fifty so they REALLY have no say whatsoever. Insanity at its finest.

Voting? Are you serious? You mean you don't know that it's a scam? It's total BS, made up. The Bildebergers or those of their ilk choose who will be the puppet in charge. Everything is not as it appears. Everything THEY told you is a lie. Wake the hell up for Cripe sakes!!!

The older generations don't trust their own judgement. They raised us, so be confident that younger generations are capable of leading us into a more futuristic future.

"FUTURISTIC FUTURE..." This is an example of my post above. I'm sure the owners/ moderators are howling!

No they are not laughing. It's 2011 and we still use gasoline??! Every household should have witricity. We're still fighting the same lame wars. But because we have smartphones, internet and cars I'm suppose to feel like 2011 is so ground breaking technology wise?

I think anyone over 50 just needs to step back and let the people who have a firm grasp of technology and how the world works do the thinking and voting.

I love this line. My step-son who is a senior in high school, called me a few weeks ago for help. After one hour and 40 minutes of 6 of his friends trying to figure out how to jump start a car, he called me and asked how to do it. This is a 'firm grip' of technology?

You may be able to drive, but my 7 year old kids can drive their 4-wheel atv's, so big deal. They can also remove the battieries when they need charging and charge them again. 7 18 year old kids couldn't figure out how to start a car! My dad, who is 84, just came back from a trip that he took. He drove from Pennsylvania to North Carolina and back.
Sure, you may be able to twit and facebook like any other lemming that joins the crowd, but when your computer doesn't work, don't bother fixing it, just buy a new one.
I'm 54 years old and I'm SURE I have a firmer grasp of technology than you do.

Maybe when you grow up you'll realize how idiotic your post was, because, anything posted on the internet will be there forever, so you will be able to read it in 35 years when you reach 50, or didn't you realize that?

the irony to me is the founding fathers originally constructed a system that essentially prevented anyone not a white male wealthy land owner from voting for the president via the electoral college

I'd have to say most of those folks were over 50

A movie was made in the late 60's that postulated imprisoning everyone over 30 and allowing youth to run wild and do what they pleased....the idea was that people under 30 knew how the world/country should be run and everyone else needed to sit it out...so what you are syaing is essentially the same thing...that only people under 50 know how the world works and everyone else should just sit down and shut up?...

I was referring to the GRAMMAR. Another example of some of the people here who don't get it.

Moderators: Please end this thread. Have you no shame? You're gonna be responsible for:

A. GIVING THE OLD PEOPLE STROKES AND HEART ATTACKS and

B. CAUSING THE YOUNG PEOPLE TO FILL THEIR DIAPERS AND SOIL THEIR LAZY BUTTS.

It doesn't matter, I eliminated my post because all of it doesn't matter.

No one is changing anyones mind here.... and half the people who start threads like this, simply want to elicit some reaction from others. I didn't want to feed into that.

see the problem is the "old" just keep piling up. due to the increase in votes, our actions will be lead towards entitlement programs and transfer payments. A general lack of care for the future, only concerned about morsels they can get now. Our country cant afford our old people. Not to mention that the older people get, the more confused they get. I would say limit the age to 65.

We are the ones who will have to live with the long term consequences of our current actions, not the "old folk"

I must admit:
That gibberish confused the hell out me!

Your writing skills reflect poorly on your intellect. Do you really expect to be taken seriously by writing crap such as that?

See ya,

I wonder if the OP isn't a disinfo agent trying to drum up the against medicare and SS vote?

I've watched ATS, I believe become the not only the biggest conspiracy site on the net to the most infiltrated by either ignorance or a planned manipulation towards the NWO Agenda.

Now whether on a conscious or unconscious level remains to be seen.

Start researching mind control and alien agenda.

Between our DNA being tweaked again (I suspect do not know positively) and the constant "reprogramming" of our brains enmasse (the human brain is nothing short of a organic super computer that can be "programmed")............One has to wonder WTF is really going on?

OP, YOU ARE VERY WRONG! How has America fail you in letting you think this way?!

One of the most critical ways that individuals can influence governmental decision-making is through voting. Voting is a formal expression of preference for a candidate for office or for a proposed resolution of an issue. Voting generally takes place in the context of a large-scale national or regional election, however, local and small-scale community elections can be just as critical to individual participation in government.

Article 25 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR) is the key international guarantee of voting rights and free elections, but its provisions are strongly related to other articles, specifically Article 2 (see below). The ICCPR also includes guarantees of freedom of expression (Article 19), assembly (Article 21), association (Article 22), and non-discrimination (Article 26).

ICCPR, Article 25: Every citizen shall have the right and the opportunity, without any of the distinctions mentioned in Article 2 and without unreasonable restrictions:
(a) To take part in the conduct of public affairs, directly or through freely chosen representatives;
(b) To vote and to be elected at genuine periodic elections which shall be by universal and equal suffrage and shall be held by secret ballot, guaranteeing the free expression of the will of the electors;
(c) To have access, on general terms of equality, to public service in his country.

ICCPR, Article 2, paragraph 1: Each State Party to the present Covenant undertakes to respect and to ensure to all individuals within its territory and subject to its jurisdiction the rights recognized in the present Covenant, without distinction of any kind, such as race, colour, sex, language, religion, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or other status.

Ok I don't agree with the OP at all but how out of the loop are you? Haven't you turned on a TV, read a newspaper or informed yourself at all about what is going on in the world right now? Haven't you seen what happens whenever the G8 summit rolls into town? Protests happen daily and these days we are facing tear gas and rubber bullets. Or for those in the middle east live rounds.
