Not playing games.I truly wonder if this weapon exists.
If you do not think it exists please say so.
If you have heard of weapons like this being developed please say so.
Cheers.

but extensive documentation on it,pages and pages.
Thanks.

documentation would include manufacturer, disassembly instructions and operation of safety if present

might want to work on that part of story

oh and what noise does it make when fired.

Btw something more than a pistol with a shoulder stock but not quite a rifle is called a carbine in general

to my knowledge man portable energy weapons do not exist

"hits a 3x3 target"
should be -has an area effect of 3'x3' at ?what range?- does that grow down range like a cone? if I am understanding what you meant by that correctly...
what is the maximum effective range?

That was a rail gun, meaning a projectile weapon. Not a beam/electricity projecting weapon.

As for the OP. Yes that gun is real. It's called the Arc Caster from Star Wars Battlefront the video games. You get a nice little jump pack too. Not as nice as Boba Fett's. But, you know, the Empire had to cut back a little bit after the death star. Can't be spending all willy nilly like.

In all seriousness, if you really want an answer tell us where you saw/heard about this gun. Being so coy will get you nowhere. You have never been in area 51 and seen a secret weapon so don't try to make people here think you have seen something special. My opinion.

Your quite right,i have never been in area 51, nor did i know this supposed weapon is secret let alone exist in the first place. It is only special if you think its special.

The range would be a lot shorter than that of a normal rifle to be effective at causing mass cardiac arrest, the beam is similar to the way light comes from a torch/flashlight.

thats to vague to be very useful wouldn't you want to know how far away your target can be
A flashlights beam can be focused at a certain range by its reflector but it does spread in all directions

I know you've been careful not to make any real claims yet I think you should have posted this in the grey area you run the risk of offending less forgiving members than me here.

do you have in your possession the documentation you mentioned?

Sorry to be so vague, i have described it best i can,and i really dont know much about weapons old or new or any new technology's,thats why i was asking,to see if such a weapon exists,it would then give credence to what i have seen.
Since it seems no more than something out of a movie and no one knows of any such weapons, iam prepared to accept that it may be an illusion, if you wish.
I accept that there is no such weapon to our knowledge of this type and that is cool, thats why i started the thread, to see if anything like this had been talked about etc in this community.
Thanks for your reply's.

"Phase Plasma Rifle in 40 Watt range please!?! J?K go to the darpa website and ask those fellows, seems they answer crazy questions from time to time if you contact them,

who knows if they are actually telling the truth or not, but a good place to start.

How is he making things up and playing games? He is not claiming that such a gun exists. Only asking if one does.... Is it so bad for the OP to have a question?

No it doesn't.

Energy weapons and rail guns are not being produced for individuals as the technology to do so does not exist.

Guns are still guns.

He's asking about a classified Electro Magnetic Pulse gun, or EMP. Range of only 30 -45 feet. The beam dispersion is 36x36 inches at 15 feet, so it get appreciably weaker the further out. I have never seen one of these, only a description on a technical white paper.

Question to OP, have you seen one? At Alice Springs?

Don't worry about it on my account just a heads up for ya

I was thinking that if you witnessed something like this in operation it could well have been a Taser. They actually shoot a fine barbed wire and are supposed to stun a target but have been known to cause cardiac arrest. I do not know if in the right lighting you could see an arc along the wire to the target but I am sure it would be easy to not see the wire.

taser

We both could have seen this thread in two completely different ways. The way I saw this thread was someone alluding to the fact that they saw some sort of secret weapon, or has some inside information or something along those lines. How did you see the thread?

Reasons for me to think this: The OP refuses to say where/when/how he got all this information related to this weapon. He states there is extensive documentation related to the weapon. He tells of several specific details about this weapon. Size, use, shape, function, etc.

If you just had some idea in your head about some cool weapon or something, and then wanted to know if it was real or not, where would all of this specific information come from?

So two possibilities as I see it. The OP was exposed somehow to some sort of new weapon. Be it space aliens, a highly connected government official, remote viewing, dream, waking vision, or any other way. I personally find this a ridiculous idea, because of the behavior of the OP refusing to state in what manner the idea for this weapon came to him. Which leads me to believe he is trying to get others to think he is privy to some sort of special information. Yet people who claim they know something others do not, don't usually tell them what the actual info is, or where and how they got it. Pretty funny huh?

I think I'll start a thread, I'll give you guys a sneak peak:

Thread Title: Does this gun exist?

Thread Body: Hey guys I wanted to know if this gun is real. It shoots hard boiled eggs, but these are not regular hard boiled eggs. These hard boiled eggs are encased in a charged plasma envelope that allows said egg to do horrible damage, and are irradiated. It is used by a secret division of the US Military called "Cluck Squad" and has killed many innocent civilians around the globe.

The gun is about 3 feet long, and has a rainbow painted on it. John Titor used it once. He didn't like it. It has no trigger, just a pressure pad switch where a trigger would be, and connects in a biological fashion to the user.

When an egg impacts a human (or others) the plasma burns a hole through the person's flesh. Then the egg is deposited inside of the body cavity of the person. For some reason, and nobody knows why just yet (not even the inventor Rickard Emmanuel Avian) but the hard boiled egg turns into a real egg that hatches inside the body, growing incredibly fast and large (grows to 20x the size of a regular chicken withing .01 to .2 seconds) It is thought the radiation causes the chicken to grow so ridiculously fast a large

*End Thread*

Now, I use that imaginary thread as an example. Yes it sounds ridiculous, but it is done in the same format as this thread. A question is asked about a weapon, tons of information is given about it, but not one time is it stated where the idea for this weapon came from. If you just had some cool idea for a weapon, wouldn't you just say "Well I came up with this idea, and was curious if anyone knew if they had anything similar"

One last thing I will leave you with, is the claim that there is pages upon pages of documentation about the OP's wunderwaffe. What sense does that make? If the OP knows of pages and pages of documentation about this weapon, that doesn't that mean it's real? Or at least being proposed and theorized about?

It seems odd to ask people on ATS if a weapon is real, when you claim that there are already documents out there about it. Hey OP, where can I read these documents. Also, would you please for the record state where you came up with this idea? Did you see something similar? What prompted you to make this thread?

This post further gives evidence to my idea that the OP is claiming some inside knowledge of a secret weapon. Except this poster here was kind enough to actually give us some background on what this is, and where he heard about it. The OP did no such thing.
