Maybe. I don't doubt people might like working for you. What I'm saying is the system forces people to work. If people searched for true happiness, the economy would crumble. Because happiness comes from within, not from material goods.

There are few who work for enjoyment and follow career paths they enjoy. The majority endure miserable lifes because they're forced to slave themselves for money, to survive.

Let everyone have an acre of land and access to resources like wood and rock, and nobody turns up to work tomorrow.

So the cost of this wedding doesn't matter, the bells are ringing, the bird singing, the sun is shining, the people are happy, on most village greens across the country partys are going on, this is far more than just a wedding, its a celebration of Britishness and about having a good time and enjoying the atmosphere, so a party for the entire UK cost just 6.billion? thats a pretty dam good deal if you ask me... not to mention this has probably generated more money than the cost anyway.. so still you're argument is pointless,

That's the point, I don't hate them at all - I do however find this massive amount of money being spent to be absolutely repulsive.

6 billion pounds, and probably more.

You reckoned we give away 5 times that in AID each year which is absolute nonsense.

Why should I hate them - that would imply I actually feel something for them, but I don't, I care only that they have systematically raped this country and half the planet to get where they are today.

I grew up poor... had nothing... and ended up there twice later in life after leaving home...

My father died when I was 17, my mother left, and I ended up living out of a car for several months...

You see, THIS is why I approach life the way I do... I learned how to be happy with nothing... and ever since that has stayed with me...

It doesn't physically force, but it definitely coerces people. You either slave yourself, or you live on the streets. What other option is there? Even dole-dossers have nothing, 50 pound a week doesn't give anyone a home or security.

Your outlook is nice, on paper, but without flexibility it's ridiculous. Next time I'm in Ghana I'll let the starving kids know they're responsible for their position and misery.

I understand what you're saying exactly, but I have no idea how it justifies in anyway some inbred monarchs and the negative effect they've had on many.

My outlook isn't "nice" it's a way of living... a way I have been living for quite some time now...

Being a human isn't really all that difficult unless you buy into what everyone else says is important...

Set your own priorities, lose your sense of embarrassment and you will be much happier... or at least I became that way ;-)

Been there and done that...i was on my own at 15.
Maybe we got out of it but its not that easy for others so i am not about to judge them because i got out and feel superior about my success.
The poor need compassion....not an attitude that its their fault for not having the right mindset.
People behave based on their experiences and not everyones experiences are the same which is why we shouldn't judge them by their mindset.
Maybe you or i didn't need therapy to get where we are but some might in order to get a winning attitude.
Never judge unless you walk in their shoes....life is too complex for that.
