I have read a few posts on ATS, and have come accross lots of attacks on each other out of ignorance; and that has led me to start this thread, in hope that light can be shed on the above subject without ignorant attacks on each other's views. If one is a believer in God, it does not make him/her any better than one who does not believe: both are equally precious; to this I will remind the believer what the scriptures tell you, It is God who is doing it all to will and to his good pleasure, FOR THE GOOD OF THE CREATURE!!! If you are the creature, a manufactured vessel, both the believer and non-believer, in whose hands is your glorification, your's or your Maker's?

Everyone has faith, believer and non-believer alike: for all things come alike to both. The believer has faith in God because his light is kindled, though there is still much smoke left from the ignition for him to see clearly; and the non-believer has faith in his belief because as of yet God has not been proven to him: this does not make him a bad person or an outcast, nor should you force-feed him God. If you believe, it is not something you self-attained; allow the pure Energy/Spirit that drives all things to do his work: it is not in your power!

To he that does not believe in God I had posted this earlier, and I ask again, do you believe in life? You are alive, at least your senses tell you so; so I image you do believe in life. This is not to discredit you or criticize your views; this is simply to help you perceive things from a different vantage point; and to help clear the smoke for the believer. Life itself has always been a mystery; science seeks to solve it and religion claims to know it. If life was a substance made of matter then science could understand it and solve the mystery; and if it was manipulable emotion, then religion would understand it and control it to its own eccentric benefit. But life precedes nothingness and transcends all things.

All things became by Life, a phenomena that cannot be perceived through natural human senses, and thus it is commonly debated, qualified and quantified, without yet coming to the full understanding of it. Life is above all things and in whom all things exist; he cannot be quantified, being illimitable, no qualified: for no one can know him; he is without a name, in that there was no one before him to give him a name, though you refer to him as God; he is the pure Energy/Spirit in whose light all things are glorified, without which nothing can be glorified, yet whom no creature knows to glorify: hence you claim he does not exist, even though you, his creature, exists.

You cannot claim he did not create you: for you do acknowledge you are a creature; therefore someone or something had to have created you; even if you claim to have evolved from primate to man; and even if you claim to have been seeded by aliens: therefore you acknowledge there is a Greater who created you, or from whom you became. Open your mind to the purity of the spirit realm, even as you have in your chosen belief, and consider the alternative, the perfect Energy/Spirit in whom all things exists, which to you is yet to be proven: for by so doing your spirit may be rekindled in his light, that you may be able to perceive your glorification.

And you who claims to know, what is it you know? By attacking another due to his belief you manifest true ignorance, even as the scripture tells you "That which you ought to know has yet to be revealed to you"; to which Jesus said, "The first shall be last and the last shall be first". If your light has been kindled, be a light unto others by manifesting the true essence of the light of life, which essence is pure and unadulterated LOVE!!!

If you need further understanding on these things, go to waterofshiloh.com... and be enlightened. It is priceless and yet it is free: in its light you live, and from its grace comes your peace! For woe is the soul that depends on the flesh for its livelihood; as if life will depend on death for its eon! Peace be with you!!!

I do appreciate the effort it took to draft the OP.
Unfortunately I strongly disagree with some statements.
For example, when you say
"and the non-believer has faith in his belief because as of yet God has not been proven to him:"
this is such a false statement!

I can go with the notion "faith" if applied to the process Kant already figured out: it's probably impossible to detect any difference between our mental conceptualization of a phenomenon and that actual phenomenon, so "faith" comes in as we assume there is no difference.

I'm a non-believer, in the sense that i reject religion and discourse about god.
I use common sense, an understanding (crippled as it is) of the way the brain works and my (even worse) understanding of science. I don't need to be proven the existence of the imaginary friend of believers.
I just don't go for what they believe.
As long as belief is a personal matter that helps people to deal with reality, that's just fine by me. Things start to change when totally irrational stuff that is part of that belief is being pushed into the public arena. Take for example the attempts of believers to have a fictional story being accepted as "science" in US classrooms. If someone wants to belief the earth is only 3 minutes old, fine by me. Just don't try to sell that bull# to my kids as I will take that as an attempt to hurt them.

but once again, I appreciate the effort of your OP.

I have made a image that sort of explains how our inspired religion is in conflict with what Jesus told us.

Thanks for the constructive comment.

Regarding Faith; faith is a belief; and since you believe or are comfortable trusting your common sense, your understanding of how the brain works, then that is faith: you have faith in your understanding/common sense; and that's all I'm trying to say. There is nothing false about that.

Now if you are referring to my statement of God not having been proven to a non-believer, there is no falsehood in that either, because if God had been proven to you, you would believe; just as you believe that which your senses confirm/prove to you as true. Therefore everyone has faith in some belief, regardless of what it is tied to.

The only thing I seek to sow is LOVE, unconditionally: for love conquers all things; it is very difficult to do, given the nature of the earthling/man; but as is with all things, the more you practice it the more it becomes second nature: and what ever you sow out there returns back to you multiplied.

Thanks again; and may your mind's eyes never fall asleep! Peace!!!
