The economy is improving slightly not because of obama it's inspite of obama's bungling

The fact remains, the economy is improving. Obama is the sitting president...you can't place blame on him for the economy and not give him credit for it's improvement.

Jobs are still being loss and unemployment is still higher then when President Bush was in office.

Unemployment is dropping...sorry, but numbers don't lie.

As far as the recession being over? Since when? Notice the increase in fuel prices? Notice the cost of everything else in stores rising? The recessions not over the press just isn't reporting on it because if people really knew it'd make obama look worse then he already is.

Since we have had positive growth for the past six quarters. Look up the definition of a "recession". Here's a hint...it's not a random or arbitrary term.

Show me one thing that obama's done to improve the economy and I'll think about giving him credit for improving it. Until then, no. Every other time he "tries" to help the economy stocks take a nose dive.
Unemployment dropping? As Jaynkeel said, reason unemployment is going down is peoples benifits are running out. And while we're on unemployment, just where is the money going to come from since obama extended for the years? (The new welfare).
Positive growth? Please, a few thousand here a few thousand there isn't going to make much difference when you have millions out of work.

IMO, Obama's chance of winning depends on who the Republicans have running against him. If the Republicans send in the same ol' wannabe's Obama wins.

On a related note I am curious as to whether or not 2012 fears will play a role in this election.

I think the Repubs can put a Paper Cup up against this butthead.

All they have to do...

Is ask the Reagan Questions. (At the right time)

Carter fu#### this country up with his inflation, which an idiot could have done a better job.
Then we got our change with the Reagan Nomics, owe yes, trickle down economics that never happened.

Move ahead

Joker Bush, had this country in the dumpsters, and Obama comes in under a Trojan horse of CHANGE, yes we have literally gotten change, and not for the betterment of the American people.

The house of the proverbial cards must end. as the Dem's and the Rep's have whispered sweet fun loving, heart felt words to the American audience, but their actions have always proven that they are full of deceit

NAILED IT

The problem is that they aren't Reagan and by asking the Reagan question they are only showing that they are using the same old lines.

Reps need a young energetic buck who can articulate what Obama hasn't done a good job on.

I admit shouldn't be. But do you see anyone in the Rep party who can articulate that message across to the voters?

Well, it hasn't quite been 4 years yet...but 2 years ago...

2 years ago we were in a recession and now we are not.

2 years ago jobs were being lost by the thousands and now they are coming back.

2 years ago peoples 401ks were plummeting and now they are not.

2 years ago banks were closing all over the place, and now they are not.

All signs point to the economy continuing to improve.

Republicans may want to think twice before asking this question.

Stop drinking the MSNBC Cool aid. The economy is not much better and it started to get a little better before Obama did anything. Obama has done not one thing to improve the economy!!!! Banks are still going down today or being merged into the bigger ones to avoid collapse. Jobs are not coming back. If you want a fast food job maybe but nothing much out there pays any good money. The UN-employment rate is way higher than what the ignorant government is saying and thats because most people have exhausted their UN-employment benefits and are no longer counted in the systems. Thats the only reason why they don't tell you the real numbers that are around 20 percent plus !!!!!!!

All signs are you have no clue what you are talking about because Gerald Cellente and Warren Buffet have said the economy sucks and is about to go down and out.

If you are going to try to make an argument...at least don't say the exact opposite of reality. Stocks are doing fine under Obama...and we are not in a recession anymore. That is TWO facts you have got wrong.

Unemployment dropping? As Jaynkeel said, reason unemployment is going down is peoples benifits are running out.

Yes...unemployment is dropping...as Jaynkeel said...HE FOUND A JOB.

Try all you want...but facts don't change. There is a reason no Republican is trying to use this argument....because it isn't true. They 100% don't want to talk about the recovery...they want to talk about FUTURE spending. That is all they have...because Obama kept this economy from going into a full blown recession...and they know it.

You would know it too if you stopped listening to their propaganda.

The economy is not much better

Ummm...yeah...it kind of is.

Bury your head in the sand...the election is still two years away. By that time the economy will be even better and jobs will be coming back in larger numbers.

Like I said to the other Obama hater...there is a reason no Republican candidate is trying to argue that the economy is not getting better. They are only focusing on the debt and spending...they don't want to talk about how that spending saved the economy.

Prices are indeed rising, pay is the same or worse. For example I wasn't given a pay raise in the past year, but my rent and my overall cost of living has increased. So in reality, I am actually making less money than I did the year before.

Does this mean I'll be voting for a Republican in 2012? You have gotta be kidding me!

Do people think things would honestly be better if McCain was elected? It comes down to the lesser of two evils, that is how I view it, which is how bad things have gotten in this country.

I'll look into possibly voting for Ron Paul, it'll either be him or Obama again. Obama's Presidency thus far has made it pretty clear what I already suspected for a long time, though, it's a rigged system. I look at my vote as simply reducing the damage, which is by keeping whoever the stooge is the Republicans have running out of office.

I don't want to belittle someone else's opinion, but if you are voting Republican then you are simply voting against your own best interest (for about the 100th time), unless that is you are rich.

Obama will rebutt by re-phrasing JFK's challenge. Except it'll be

Ask not, what you can do to your country......

....just do it before it does it to you!

(edit to add).
I love how outkast's mood is "illogical." It gets to be hard work when your candidate and your party become so vastly unpopular.

The only reason the stock market dollar-sign is going up, is because the dollar is the new peso.

I feel like I'm banging my head against a wall. You still didn't answer my question, "What has obama done good to help this country?" Is it the ban on drilling that put thousands out of work? Or is it the 2billion that he pledged to Brazil for their oil instead of tapping into our own oil. Is it obamas undieing support for illegals putting Americans out of work?

To be fair, you quite clearly have made up your mind, so you really arent debating.

I suspect if Obama hadn't temporarily suspended deepwater drilling, you would be blaming him for the BP spill, and when he DID institute a temporary ban, you blame him for killing jobs.

Obviously, this is a disingenuous tact.

Criticizing from the sidelines of theory is easy. Who would you choose instead?

I get it, you're either trying to be funny or you believe everything that the current administration is telling you to believe. Please take off the blinders long enough to read the news.

Here's a comprehensive list of FAILED banks. No shortage of bank closures over the past two years. Fridays are never good in the banking realm.
www.fdic.gov...

Yes...thanks for the numbers.

In 2010 by this time there were almost 60 banks that have closed.

This year...not even 30.

Thanks for providing the numbers to prove my point.

You said they weren't closing banks and they are still closing banks. How am I proving your point that they are NOT closing banks?? We're only half way through the year Don't worry. The banks will still be closing now until December.

Too Funny!!!

Putting it into all caps doesnt make it true. Yes, the economy still sucks. But, yes, it is better now than it was in late 08. That's a fact. Jobs are up, the dow is up. No one said everything is perfect, just that it is better than when Bush left. That is a fact, and I dont even have to type in all caps.

then again, you dont appear concerned with facts.
