You could call anybody anything you like, but the reality is that Liberals fight for poor people and conservatives fight for rich people

.

The reality is you are completely ignorant of fact and history. In short, the perfect liberal voter.

Conservatives only like Ayn Rand because of her criticism of liberalism. Conservatism is not the same thing as libertarianism, libertarianism is not anti-human and liberals don't give a damn about you or any other poor person and if you honestly think they do, you're just delusional.

You, of course, don't offer any facts. And if you did they would likely be lies and distortions becasue no truth is on your side. Just sefishness and anti-human hatred for anything not rich, .

Republican Conservatism has no ethical or moral basis for any of its depraved philosophy of lavishing the rich and neglect of the needy, middle class people. A very anti-Christian posture, I might add, for alleged Christians.

It also lacks any common sense behind its ideas, since to neglect most of the population by catering to the rich most of the country will suffer. What the rich do is live in gated communities because they are afraid of the social diseases that are rampant because of the neglect of most of the population due to what primarily Republican conservative policies have done since Ronald Reagen.

The Conservatives have fought against laws that stop outsourcing; fought against laws that would control the excesses of Wall Street; fought extending unemployment insurance for desperate people; Always the Republican conservatives fight to keep tax cuts for the rich; fight to stop health care; they pass laws to destroy unions; cut needed education funds; etc etc etc.

Even now in Wisconsin police and fire unions are abandoning Republicans they voted for. Now they know the nature of the beast

I might add, in order to make this post relevant to the thread. There has been research that proves that when a conservative government is in power there are more suicides and other deaths that have everything to do with their Ayn Rand like policies.

So bottom line, they are essentially the biggest serial killers there are . . . directly because of their policies.

I can cherry pick all of the authors as well. All day long.

Marx: From each according to his ability, to each according to his need.
So with that kind of thinking, the illiterate need not apply. Doesn’t matter if your dyslexic or receive a *snip* poor education. You don’t qualify…sorry.

What a weird interpretation of Marx's words! I think it's probably unique... If I could even understand what you think he meant, I am sure you'd still be wrong!
WTH?

Not as far as I have noticed! Libertarians support the wealthy as the mad old bat Rand did...The men of wealth, which she regarded as proof of human status.

Well, you're wrong on so many points I won't even bother trying to point them all out. The point is moot anyway. The government, mostly Democrats, has spent us into bankruptcy. Yet the Moron in Chief still wants us to spend more money we don't have. Standard and Poors has just come out and said the US is in danger of losing it's AAA bond rating. Once that happens it's the beginning of, "Hello Third World!", then all your fluffy little liberal fantasies won't matter squat. Forget gasoline, what are you going to do when bread is $40.00 a loaf?

Libertarians are just another false resistance. How many millions have been wasted on the Pauls? And for what?

Obama is making the US the new Weimar Republic, to be sure. Except it's going to cause a lot more megadeaths than the Great Depression did, as most don't know how to farm, and there's little of nothing to forage.

I disagree. They are just defending the rights of the rich. They also defend the rights of the poor, but most people think they are entitled to wealth, so they are confused to see people not defending the permitted coercion of others.

her books are over 70 years old, she's been dead for about 30 years, and yet people are still warning us of the 'dangers' of her way of thinking. Other than viewing this thread as a victory for Rand's way of thinking and a tribute to her undying ideas triumphing over the mindless masses, what else should I take from this thread?

Her works are treated as gospel by right-wing powerhouses like Alan Greenspan...

Gee, I thought I read all of Rand's books, but I must have missed one. Which book is it where the main character is the director of a central reserve bank? It's funny because those are usually the antagonists of her book.

I can't remember where but I recently heard a great quote comparing Atlas Shrugged and The Lord of the Rings. It goes something like this.

"Atlas Shrugged and the Lord of the Rings are two heavy books that can have a huge influence on a 14 year old. One is a childish fantasy that if taken to seriously can turn that 14 year old into a socially and emotionally handicapped adult, the other has Orcs and Elves."

That 14 year old may one day grow up to be a thinker, a doer, someone who does not mold with the masses. Someone who opposes the totalitarian conformist society rather than going along with it. But seeing as how you never read the book you wouldn't know much about that.
