Well before the red necks beat up the hill bilies and the blacks jump on the white lets talk about corporations paying next to no taxes and the military industrial complex getting its extr $650bn present why we get Bp killing the fish and Japans nuke stations pertentialy killing billions of people over the next few hundred of years.

Yeah these experts that got us here will soon vanish with the cash and Mc Donalds will move its operations to tiwan.

S&P are the bigest load of crap going and they were handing out AAA ratings back in 2008 to banks that were bust within months or taken over by the goverment and you're still paying these bankers even more when QE3 comes out.

Not some much here but americans in general sat back and did nothing since it became clear after 9/11 that the goverment was nothing more than a bunch of criminals on the take and americans need to look in mirrow when look for someone to blame even when Fox/CNN are telling you all it's not your fault and to take another bite of the $hit sandwich.

No one here can say they were not warned so stack up, its going to take a long time before this is over.

Chance favors the prepared mind.

In my mind, the writing is on the wall and I am preparing for what I believe is inevitable. What do I believe is inevitable you ask? Based on my research, the US Dollar (FRN) will be worthless paper in less than 18 months.

I believe the prudent move is to trade your FRNs for usable commodities such as silver, food, water filtration systems, firearms, ammo and other tangible/usable commodities...while FRNs are still accepted for the aforementioned.

The empire is crumbling so you would be wise to get your lifeboat ready before the water is already at your chest.

and who is that controls the house right now? hint, it's not liberals. liberals were in control before them. that you and others in this thread continually fall for the left vs. right sleight of hand is just appallingly hilarious. it's all one in the same, bad government choices of career politicians from mostly lawyer backgrounds.

Neocons also want govt. expansion
When I said liberals I meant the voters
They support it and neocons and dems will love it

I don't believe in the two party system either friend
But the people are also part of the problem not just elected officials

Sorry, I stand by my guns on this one.. Liberalism here means smaller, less bloated, less intrusive government.. one that minds its own ( ) business and does not interfere in our rights.. this is what liberalism means around here.. and has done for a very long time.. As I say, it seems it means something different where you are, which is pretty sad.

That's what the opposite of it means
You are referring to Libertarianism which believes in non-internventionism, no entangling alliances, a sensible foreign policy, and free-market economics and of course above all... Liberty!

Liberals on the other hand want expansion of govt.
Liberals seem to be leaning towards socialism a little more every year it seems

Your not... I would actually prefer the Government not raise the debt ceiling. It would force us to deal with the problem, instead of continually making it a political issue.

I would prefer to see bread lines again than continue down this path.

Hrmm again? Did you see them before? Or did you just read about them in a book?

Well, well, well, we meet again Standard&Poor. And so soon after this headline
US panel blames Moody's, S&P for triggering financial crisis

Long ago you used to be trustworthy, but your poor standards since 2000 have let us down. And, so, you make another headline. But there was something interesting you said

S&P analysts wrote that they were skeptical that the two sides could come together. Even if they do, the report says, their plan could take time to implement and could be reversed by future political leaders.

Sounds like you're being the finger waving nag to the parties involved. But I think you have a point. Unless this country comes to some kind of long term agreement on its financial wellness, rising above ideologies, there's little hope to continue with the higher rating.

But I despair, as we're in the midst of ideological warfare, and corruption abounds.

Bruce Bartlett is no left leaning liberal

Well, we have all the statist/interventionists to thank!

Gotta love the Entitlement programs, and Unconstitutional social welfare programs.

But lets face it though, liberals have never pretended to be champions of smaller government, much less fair and balanced government.

I dunno about that, all the liberals around here only want is a smaller, less intrusive government..
Perhaps there is the difference between the liberals here and the liberals where you are...

Never meet a liberal that could pass up on a Govt program or spending someone-else's money for their ideas.

I think you mean libertarian.

Ok, so tax the businesses and Corps. Do yo understand how that cost is then shared? it is passed to the consumer.
So, in all truth, companies really don't pay taxes, the customer pays it, the business pushes it out as overhead.

I am sorry, but taxes are not the answer, never has been and never will be.

There is a spending problem by the Fed Govt.

i may be cynical but you get the same no matter which party you vote for. parties arguing over 30 or 60 billion in cuts when the deficit is a trillion is laughable. and i was reading the other day that when looking closer the actual budget cuts is like 150 million.

it's all just a show

and here is a video of a computer programmer talking about those voting machines under oath. so it really really doesn't matter who you vote for

Maybe it's time for the states to take action of their own since D.C. and all federal branches of the government are diseased with corruption.

they will do whatever every other person has done when their up to their heads in debt

they will go someone and open another line of credit.

credit itself is a tool of enslavement and they have no problems becoming one hell its not their money.

a collapse of america could be the best thing that happened to us then there no more left or right.

just a bunch of p o d citizens getting ready to pass judgement on the sins of the corrupt.

however that will never happen no matter what we do we are all going down with the ship

and much like the titantic which is apropos the elite will be safe and sound in the lifeboats and the rest of us peons are left to drown.
