Imagine if the US enticed you to join the invasion, with the promise of an easy victory and rose petals at your feet. The people at home weren't to keen with it, but once victory was complete and the money started to pour in, they'd forget about it. Now fast forward to now. Losing a war based on lies? A region who views you as invaders and not liberators, who want to kill you? I'm sure a lot of countries are saying, "Sorry US, this is not what you promised, you messed up big time. We're outta here!"

In this case it was a Jordanian company not the country deciding to stop working in Iraq. The decision by the company was more than likely a direct result of threats by the hostages families to behead the director of the company and kill all the employees if they didn't withdraw from working in Iraq.

If you haven't worked it our yet, there are no terrorists in Iraq.
The people attacking the US coalition are the Iraqi Shi'ite turning on the invading forces in their country.

Here's an interesting angle on the day they toppled Saddam Hussein's statue:

www.informationclearinghouse.info...

Notice the lack of cheering crowds.

You see, although Saddam Hussein was a bad man, he kept the Shi'ite population under control; something the US coalition is finding difficult, being an invading force and all.
The Shi'ite are now kinda angry, especially since lots of their people have been killed and there seems to be no valid reason for the US coalition being there.

Even more frightening is the fact that those very same Shi'ite people are the majority in Iran.
So when/if America attacks Iran, you can bet that they will group together and fight back - that's a grand total of 30 million shi'ite militia fighting a guerrilla war.

Vietnam anyone?
