Aaaah! Quite a weird thing for the Chinese to ask for ... If it was just a rumour it wouldn't affect them at all if it was all over the Internet ...

Firstly is this not a dispiuted territory?
I am sure china and japan have conflicting claaims to it.....
In which case maybe they are determined that they wont allow it.They may be trying to squelch even the very thought of it.
meanwhile the goverment says , and i quote
" “Those spreading state secrets on the Internet or other public information networks should be held accountable.”

Which leads one to the impression that they really are going to go along with japanese relocation there,but they wanted to announce it not have it leaked out prematurely...???

I am sure thaat Hinan is under dispute with china as to whose it is.....???
