Don't make it.

Seems like the best option to me.

Think about what you post prior to posting it and if in doubt wait till later.

There is no button.
Try contacting a mod, I guess.

You can contact/request a mod to delte it...but by reading the T&C's once its published...ATS owns it and it is up to them.......unless I misunderstand the rules and regs....
Usually it's best to just let it die.....if it's beyond that point, ask a mod in a U2U ....

Just own your words and like Doc said, let it die. Lord knows Ive had to own a terrible thread or post!
If its a repeat thread or a debunked thread, never fear... it will fade off into the bottom of the ATS closet in time.

You can change the thread title for the first two hours.

All forums I've joined seem to be a little different but I can't recall any of them having a delete button. One reason they don't offer that is, once you post it, you don't own it anymore, so you don't have the right to delete it after 2 hours. ATS owns it so it's their decision, not yours. You only have the right to request it, but I suspect there are some threads on here they wouldn't want to delete. It seems to me like one of the factors that influences their decision, is how many posts are in the thread: the fewer posts in the thread, the more easily they will delete it.

That's too bad because I have 2 threads that I wish to start. Both are medical conspiracies, I just need 20 posts
This will happen soon...

My advice would be to give it time. I'm sure there's something you could change the thread to. There's lots of news items every day.

The idea is that you out it out there and said what you said. It's a done deal. You can't take your words back ESPECIALLY if others have used their valuable time to contribute to the thread. If you yell at someone else, can you take your words back? Nope. You can aplogize, but that's about it.
