This year we're going to experience four unusual dates. 1/1/11, 1/11/11, 11/1/11, 11/11/11.

Take the last two digits of the year in which you were born; now add the age you will be this year, and the result will be 111 for everyone.

This year October will have 5 Sundays, 5 Mondays and 5 Saturdays...This happens only every 823 years.
edit on 15-4-2011 by OptimusSubprime because: I spelled numbers..."nimbers"

and here it is again.

Of course it will, but that means absolutely nothing.
From the year 1900 until the year 2011, there are 111 years.
Your birth year is the number of years from 1900 until the year you were born.
You age is the amount of years from the year you were born, until 2011.

Next year, the exact same equation, will work out and make everyone's birth year plus age add up to 112.

Obviously, this equation does not apply to anyone born during the year 2000 or since then.

i cant beleve this is still doing the rounds, i remember explaining the same thing you have a few months back but then there was still another 20 or so pages of people that were truly astonished by this simple mathematic equation.

its similar to saying if you add the number of your birth month(jan=1 etc..) with the number of months left in the year after, then it will always add to 12.

Apart from people born after 2000, then it will add up to 11

lol. That's pretty close to the first example I came up with, as a way to explain it by comparison.

I have a carton of a dozen(12) eggs, and so do you.
I take 3 eggs out and boil them, then place the boiled eggs back into the carton.
You boil 7 of yours, and then place them back into the carton.
I still have 12 eggs in my carton, how many do you have??

I guess all of the 11 year olds on ATS can skip that one.
