Italian activist and journalist kidnapped in Gaza is dead

www.cnn.com

An Italian humanitarian activist and journalist who was kidnapped in Gaza has been found dead. The grisly outcome came hours after a video was posted on YouTube showing a man identified by his colleagues as Arrigoni. A black blindfold covered his eyes; his right cheek appeared red as though it had been hit; his hands appeared to be bound behind his back.

Arabic writing scrolled over the video threatened that Arrigoni would be killed if Hesham al-Saeedni, who has been held for nearly a year. The writing calls Italy an "infidel nation whose armies are still present in Muslim lands." Arrigoni had been active in the Palestinian cause for nearly a decade, and had been allied with the International Solidarity Movement for more than two years.

You're both right, there's not much to say about this. It's just absolutely tragic.

I always wonder why we send troops into these nations. No wonder they are holding hostages or killing anyone. It's war! There are no rules to war. You either win or lose. You just have to find a way to win the battle.

Absolutely disgusting! Why!? Those responsible are by no means "freedom fighters" in my dictionary.
Brutality is unjustifiable and barbaric.
PROTIP: Don't check the beheading, it's much worse than you might expect.

if you read the whole article it says he was killed by a small group of al-qaeda inspired terrorists inside gaza. not hamas.

they killed him because they wanted hamas to release one of their members. if hamas is holding someone accused of terrorism, you can imagine what a piece of *snip* this guy must be.

this journalist wouldn't be there if hamas didn't allow it. he was caught up in an internal strife and was used for ransom. the fact he was used as a bargaining chip against hamas, shows how important this guy was for the palestinian cause and hamas.

for all we know this (al-qaeda inspired) group is funded by the mossad to cause internal chaos, derail the palestinian cause and lose international support. this wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility given the track record and tactics used by the mossad.

they justify the existence of israel has an excuse to do absolutely anything, regardless of moral or international law. so killing an italian citizen would be seen as necessary for the security of israel.

after reading some of the posts, its seems this tactic has worked.

and i'll add that i wouldn't want to be these guys when hamas gets a hold of them.

Because "They" are not who you think they are.

I mean, DUH. One can clearly see that this activist was duped, big time.

no one said it was Hamas. but lets blame mossad now...
pathetic premise and retarded answer...

i'm not saying it was mossad, but mossad is capable of doing anything to a non-jew and they use the existence of israel to justify any act. but everyone is blaming the palestinians for the actions of an unkown group.

example: heinrich himmler, kidnapped, drugged, smuggled to israel, tried, hung and executed. any other country in the world, including the united states, would have requested extradition and respected another countries sovereignty and the process of law.

not israel, they kidnapped him from argentina and gave him a choice of immediate execution. regardless, himmler was garbage.

example: mossad, again, instead of asking france to arrest and extradite a suspected black september munich massacre member, they sent a hit team that completely bungled the job and killed and wounded innocent french citizens.

steven speilberg conveniently left this fact out.

now, mossad paying a few palestinians (all you need is 2 or 3) to call themselves alqaeda, sending them to gaza, kill an italian journalist, post a low quality youtube video with some cheap graphics and then get a free passage anywhere in the world is not only a typical mossad covert operation, cheap and effective but makes tactical sense.

if i, not a highly trained covert agent, can come up with this plan, and pay some of hama's enemies to discredit them, what makes you think this wasn't discussed by the supposedly best spy agency in the world after the c.i.a.

mossads motto: by way of deception, thou shalt do war. mossad is at war with hamas.
