Let's Get Biblical! Why doesn't Judaism accept the Christian Messiah?

Does it really matter if their name was Jesus or David or Brian or just plain Steve?

Are not the teachings of a person more important then the person? More important then their religious upbringing? (or self bringing, in the case of some famous religious leaders). I have seen this world ripped apart with religious views, based upon nothing then prior teachings of a past generation. It's like hate passing on hate sometimes.

We are all far, far, better then a religion or generalised philosophy.

Jew, Muslim, Hindu or Christian - we need to start forgetting some of the stuff our elders were taught and start using common sense.
