What are we, the human race?

In all of our known world, galaxy, universe, we are no more than a microbe; even less so in the grand blueprint of being.

We kill our own, yet strive to expand beyond the constraints of the sub-atomic particle that we live upon and call the planet Earth. In essence, we are a sub-atomic virus, always trying to spread, yet kept from doing so by our own ineptitude and inability to comprehend our true place in the now.

There have been many before us, and there will be many to follow. As we struggle for survival, never truly realizing the struggles that our predecessors maintained were the same as those today, we continue to slip into the same void that shadows them all.

We are, after all, the exact same as our predecessors, with the exception that we have (or will have) attained a slightly higher level of awareness than that which they had attained. It is very similar, if not exactly the same, as the Hindu perception of reincarnation, with the exception that this would be on a more societal level than individual.

This being the assumptive case, why would the human race NOT be considered anything more than a mere virus, constantly adapting to the conditions that attempt to thwart it? And, if so, who is to say that an anti-virus will not be adapted to eliminate it and halt further spread? And this could take place in an infinite variety of forms.

We take life for granted, as does every other form of life that we are currently aware of, based on the environment which it would, in assumption, call ‘home’. Humans are no different. Therefore, humans are nothing more than a virus: just something else to be dealt with.

Face it: We may survive and flourish for eons. Or we may be eliminated tomorrow.

Live for today and stop worrying so much about alien invasions, comets striking the earth, etc.

Once we, as the human race realizes this, we will have a choice: learn to live in harmony with our reality, or be wiped out. Period.

Your 100% correct....We are parasites to this earth and it is going to get rid of us real, real soon if we don't stop the raping of this planet.....Oil is a cushion to this planet and we keep taking the cushion out it will bve like our bones without cartilage and bone to bone...The earth is getting rock to rock, no cushion so it will cause earthquakes more and more as we keep on taking it....
