So it looks like Maijuana could be legalized in Ontario. I read the article but would still like some info on it. Its about time is all i could think.

www.cannabisculture.com...

So if anyone with legal experience could possibly read this and tell me if there are any loopholes would be greatly appreciated.

Well someone already posted this, but no, it's not legal, the ruling is talking about MEDICINAL pot for medical patients, not recreational use.

Here in Michigan we have passed legal medical marijuana and its more or less a joke . You go in the special clinic tell the doctor there that your big toe hurts or something then buy it right there. Legalize it already. I think it will start in California , then spread to other states. People do not need to be serving time in prison for this.

Marijuana advocates across Canada are celebrating a May 16 Ontario court decision, which effectively legalized possession in Canada's largest province.
On Friday, May 16, Ontario Superior Court Justice Steven Rogin upheld the lower court ruling of Justice Philips, concerning a case of pot possession in Ontario.

er.. last May? This May? lol..

That article is 8 years old..

this is what is up with MJ these days in Canada - things are looking up again recently.

So the only way to get it is to microwave your balls...

www.youtube.com...

Well, here in Holland some people want to close the shops, every crime is now related to weed...
A shooting in Alphen aan de rijn, and now they are saying he smoked weed!

Looks like the ruling is stayed for 3 months until the federal government can 'fix' the issues the judge identified. Here is an article in relation to the most recent ruling.

Nope, recreational as well; it's already legal medicinally, though incredibly hard to obtain that way (which is why the ruling was made). It declares the laws to be of no effect since they prohibit medical users from obtaining it.

Thanks for bumping it regardless, I didn't know that Ontario legalized it. Ontario is only a few hours drive from where I live in PA. Plus I while it may be illegal in the rest of Canada it isn't enforced.

Oh, please.

"They" are saying...

Is this the preamble to your reapher madness campaign, Holland?

Weed relaxes you and make you want to do absolutely nothing except maybe eat high-calorie food.

Drug corporations can't patent it and therefore can't turn the massive profits trafficking it than they currently make off of other medicinal drugs, and people would always go for the marijuana if given the choice due to the massive lack of side-effects compared to these other drugs on the market. That's the only reason it is illegal everywhere, because healthcare corporations have more way political power than politicians and government representatives.

Here in Ontario everybody smokes weed. It may not be legal, but we sure do smoke it as if it were.

Word is that you can not get in trouble for having less than 1/4 ounce on you. Worst case scenario is a ticket and it getting taken away by our dirty cops so that they can smoke it.

Amen to that..and some cops will even let you keep it, surprisingly. On April 11, 2011, a supreme court judge ruled the law was unconstitutional and the government had 90 days to appeal the decision or make a new law. The article in the OP is from 2003 but it could become legal

yeah true that. A buddy of mine actually got caught with a Half O and a scale by 2 cops. They say to him "Why do you have so much", where my buddy said "I like to smoke weed". And they just laughed. Both times they didn't do anything, even let him keep it.
