S & F !!!!!!!!
I suspected companies have been doing this for awhile now. they brainwash us into believing competition breeds value to the consumer, but they are
all really in non-compete type of deals.
I goto the store one day and pepsi is on sale while coke is through the roof, the next week it is otherway around. I never ONCE seen them side by
side with actual competitive prices at the same time. same goes for miller and busch beers.
not to mention just about every other product known to man gets jacked when the news reports we're in for some sort of inflation, but eventually the
prices will get slashed across the board, it's all BS to see how far they can push the limit on us.
heres an example you wouldn't find anyone ever mentioning, the las vegas gaming control board. for years this tax-payer funded outfit's main goal was
to monitor casino's for fairness, even having strict payout minimums to follow. now those lines have been blurred.
you see before with the payout rules most casinos just had to meet those minimums, but larger casinos could payout more if they could afford it, thus
hurting the small guy and/or the more crooked casinos. fast forward to today and thats all been abolished. the board now oversees the payout rate on
every machine in the state. logic being that if all the machines are turned off at once, everybody wins. and it has been working. I now regulate
most of my gaming to the sports book, but when I used to cash my checks and play videopoker alot, I bitched to the slot manager about the machines
being too tight, he laughed and said "so, everyone elses are too".
only difference in all this is other countries might still be able to fight this, but in america and canada the politicians are all in bed with the
lobbyist.
EDIT:maxmars beat me to the coke/pepsi example
