Confounding lawyers and legal scholars all over the world, Judge John Walker, first cousin of former President George W. Bush, was one of three judges of the 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals to hear argument Tuesday in Gallop v. Cheney, Rumsfeld and Myers, the lawsuit brought by a soldier injured during the attack on the Pentagon that accuses former Vice President Dick Cheney, former secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld, and former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Richard Myers of conspiring to facilitate the terrorist attacks of 9/11 that killed 3000 Americans and has resulted in the deaths of many more, due to the toxicity of the clean-up conditions at Ground Zero.

Why this comes as a surprise to anyone surprises me

Of COURSE there is going to be cronyism going on. Of COURSE they are going to do everything they can to cheat the system.

That's what they've been doing all along. It's become what is known as "modus operendi".

Any RESPECTABLE judge in such a situation would recuse themselves from the case. The plaintiffs attorney should file a motion to have this judge dismissed. Judges aren't supposed to have any affiliation with a plaintiff or defendant, either business or personal.

Oh. Imagine that. A Bush relative involved in something 9/11-related. Surely that's just a BIG coincidence.

Yeah. Sure.

They did try and have the judge dismissed but the request was denied by another court....They are all crooks and this lady will get no where with this suit. I can see this already...She will never be heard in one of their Corporate Courts...of Admiralty and Maritime Law....UCC: uniform commercial code runs everything now....

9/11 and it's subsequent cover-up is rife with extraordinary conflicts of interests and coincidences. This is just something that many of us have come to expect and while most American citizens will never hear of these "issues", the ones that do will likely dig further and eventually awake from his stupor to see reality for what it is.

For someone who has only heard of 9/11 through the MSM and/or government, such news is surprising. However, this kind of thing is the rule as opposed to the exception in regards to 9/11. One has to ask why this judge wouldn't recuse himself, how it landed in his lap to begin with and most importantly, why isn't the media paying attention to this? In fact, why is he allowed to preside over this case in the first place?

Sadly, this kind of coincidence or conflict of interest in regards to the events of 9/11, is not surprising and certainly nothing new. It is this kind of thing that has allowed ignorance to prevail, justice to escape and liberty to dissolve.

That Judge sure is placing himself in a hot seat of corruption.

He ought to step down from the case, or be removed for the sake of propriety if nothing else.

Nice find

It's not the only conflict of interest. The secrurity at WTC and United Airlines is bush young brother departement

Marvin P. Bush, the president’s younger brother, was a principal in a company called Securacom that provided security for the World Trade Center, United Airlines, and Dulles International Airport. The company, Burns noted, was backed by KuwAm, a Kuwaiti-American investment firm on whose board Marvin Burns also served. [Utne]

According to its present CEO, Barry McDaniel, the company had an ongoing contract to handle security at the World Trade Center "up to the day the buildings fell down."

As has already been explained in a previous thread:
1) Bush wasn't named in the suit, so legally Judge Walker had no legal reason to recuse himself.
2) Judge Walker was only one of a 3-member panel.
3) This was an appeal hearing. The case had already been thrown out once before, so this was basically a hearing to see if the law had been correctly applied, or if there were any errors made that would warrant a retrial.

The CEO at the time..?

Wirt Walker III

Probably a closer relation to this Judge Walker than Bush himself.
