Could it be that Mother Earth is angry, fed up with the way we treat her hospitality?

Some feel (I do), that Katrina helped prevent a war. Maybe Fukushima helped prevent a war, also.

When we are about to destroy ourselves the Archangel Michael (elemental force) steps down and chases the Devil away.

That is a misconception. If I tell my son: "Thou shall not touch yon hot stove, unless thou wish is for yon hand to burn like Hell!", and he touches it, I can barely be blamed. He was given a direction, but had free will in the end.
He chooses to get burned. He had the choice. He also has to live with the consequences.

It is not religion, it is Logos applied. ( Get it? )

Now, God gave us direction AND free will. Even if you try to hide behind the excuse of having been mislead by fraudulent people, the fact remains that part of Him was given to us; Are we not His Living Temples? That means in your heart resides the knowledge of GOOD and EVIL... ( That should ring a bell... )

And THAT means we are responsible of our actions and their consequences. Accusing God of being false, wrong or evil by His own actions is a trap in which people easily fall.

Imagine you were accusing your dad of all that is bad in your life and the world because you chose to burn your hand. Now imagine EVERYBODY doing it, about everything, to anyone. You can now understand why the world is in the state it is in.

WE did it, NOT God. Why should He assume our consequences? We keep bragging we've outgrown Him. WE just turned 18, you better watch yourself now!!!

Mankind was originally granted awesome stewardship over the earth and its animals. Furthermore, this God-ordained stewardship is still in force. It is not something to be taken lightly. Our love for and appreciation of our earth and its animals is a God-inspired instinct. To neglect or abuse our planet will have serious consequences. There is a time coming when God will "destroy those who destroy the earth"

i think christians are equally responsible for that, they live in houses, own cars, eat meat, buy goods, own busniesses that take resources from the earth, do they not?

it all sounds to me like justifaction to blame and kill people simply based on religious beliefs. it sounds to me like it is a tool, for those who desire it, to be considered more important, more worthy than the rest of society. you want to go to heaven, have eternal life, thats your motivation, you could'nt care less about a better world for ALL, just a better life for you.

i see many of you screaming that everybody should die and suffer, this is actually wished and fantsied about by christians on people who have done nothing to you or 'god'. the living in sin rubbish is just something christians use to justify the death of innocent people or to scare people into believing their rubbish. nothing wrong with having a belief but i find it sick when nothing short of threats and guilt are used to make people believe it.

He doesn't punish but does allow certain things to happen to basically teach us lessons and help him with his plans etc.

Religion has actually convinced people that there's an invisible man -- living in the sky -- who watches everything you do, every minute of every day. And the invisible man has a special list of ten things he does not want you to do.. And if you do any of these ten things, he has a special place, full of fire and smoke and burning and torture and anguish, where he will send you to live and suffer and burn and choke and scream and cry forever and ever 'til the end of time! ..But He loves you.

Sadly Ghost, your lack of presence in your own thread speaks volumes.

Additionally, and going only by your own words, you must also be mistaken in your assumptions of this 'Gods' actions and intentions, yes? Therefore this thread becomes moot, does it not?

Or are you different?

But just as it is written, "THINGS WHICH EYE HAS NOT SEEN AND EAR HAS NOT HEARD, AND which HAVE NOT ENTERED THE HEART OF MAN, ALL THAT GOD HAS PREPARED FOR THOSE WHO LOVE HIM."

Too bad god does this "Incredible Hulk" thing when he gets angry.
A thinking person might wonder why god acts like a comic book character.

I can see the message has been heard!
It does warm the heart!

2nd line of compassion

To the OP; yes, it does look like time is up... but who knows? Well, we know who...

?Do you why God upset. Because humans keep mispelling Her name God instead of Goddess. But this squabble over gender specifics is a moot point. There is no real gender issue except to score points for ones own super-ego. Lets see how far the disscussion proceeds without the gender mechanics getting in the way.
