I don't see how that is even a consideration. I fail to see why it is such a big deal. (BTW, I'm no fan of either.) Two guys sit down and have a
simple conversation about possibilities before the election. Obama is confident that he will win. He talks to Biden about possibilities for Biden to
serve in the sure-to-be upcoming administration. They discuss both jobs just as they discuss Biden's support of Obama. It's a tit-for-tat operation.
"If you support me big time you get a big time reward. How would you fit in best here?"
It's a conditional choice, the condition being they have to decide whether Biden wants to be on the ticket now as Veep (and whether that will help or
hinder the campaign) or whether he would rather see someone else as Veep and be Secretray of State after Obama wins. It's a perfectly reasonable
conversation to have, likely very common in races across the country where victory means the victor gets to pass out jobs to his loyal followers.
Obviously, if they lose, all bets are off.
Of course, unless you have a recording, this whole thing is conjecture, but even as pure conjecture it's still reasonable. The idea that a
conversation like this supports a conspiracy is in the realm of the absurd.
