My girlfriend told me of a dream she had last night where she was in space looking at the earth and the sun and the earth was on fire. She tells me her dreams all the time, but she's never had a dream this cosmic and seemingly prophetic. She doesn't spend her time thinking about things like this, and probably doesn't even know what "abovetopsecret.com" is. She doesn't know what a coronal mass ejection is either.

Apparently according to this and this, there is a coronal mass ejection headed this way and should arrive in the next few days.

I know there is a dreams and predictions category somewhere, but I couldn't find it. Sorry MODs, u may need to move this one. Also, maybe I'm just dumb, but I have a problem locating specific categories that I want to post stuff in, maybe someone could make it easier to find specific forums?

Oh that's odd, I had the same dream a few years back, and yes was looking down to earth from space.

Thats rather tame compared to some other ejections we've endured recently.

Yeah, but this one is aimed at the earth. Were the others? I don't know that much about this kind of stuff.

I don't know about you guys, but whenever a huge CME happens, I feel like I'm having some kind of "hot flash" all day long. The CME's also seem to correspond to weather-related temperature spikes.

I think the Sun is pissed off because we don't worship it anymore! ;-)

It's a semi-rare occurrence, but it does happen. We've been getting a few of late.

Normally, a CME is not too much of a bother to anyone, but it can cause interference in cell phones, satellites, radio and television signals/etc. A big enough one has the potential to knock out power grids, and this is a scenario predicted by NASA, as well.

Overall, they're not a big worry, but it's not a bad idea to be aware of them and watch what they do.

There's also a fairly large amount of circumstantial evidence showing links between CME's and earthquakes, and I for one do think there is a direct link. That theory has, as yet, been proven conclusively, but there's enough evidence for me to see the correlation.

Were you joking? I think sun worshiping is very reasonable.

Ive seen several people post this link today iswa.ccmc.gsfc.nasa.gov... :8080/IswaSystemWebApp/StreamArgumentServlet?cygnetInstanceId=172173343&argumentId=1 , but i cannot get the page to load. Can you tell what vital information it contains?

There was a large one on Jan 13, 28 and another some time in early Mar. I recall one of those being directly aimed at Earth as well. My wife was experiencing unexplained flu symptoms and dizziness as (i believe) a result. Even to the extent that she took the time to get a clean bill of heath from the doctor.

Well if the earth doesn't actually catch on fire, then it can be said that the dream is a symbolic prediction. Nevertheless, it is a substantial prediction imo.

Oh I understand your feelings. My wife has been having some incredibly prophetic dreams of late, herself, and it just floors me each time they come true.
