So my question is...who's telling the truth here?One says Obama ordered the trial to be in a military court and the other one is saying Obama was fighting to have it in a public court??I highly doubt that!

Yeah..As if Obama wanted the trial in a public court.We knew that wouldn't happen.Now they can stage it the way they want.

When everything you're being told on the TV is a lie, sometimes the lies cross over each other and get mixed up in the media blitzes. It'll be forgotten, until someone puts together another compilation of politicians publicly lying like the Bush-Rumsfeld zingers about 9/11 & Iraq WMDs. Then that will be forgotten 2 days later.

If I remember correctly it's the Republicans who stoped the trials form taking place in new york more then 2 years ago. Do some research before making a claims like that. Besides why the hell were they not tried when bush was still in office the had the time it's not like we just cought the bastards. I guess if the

If they were tried in a civilian court then most of the evidence against them would have to be thrown out as the evidence gained under torture is not admissible. In a military court they can over look these little facts.

Simple- So he isn;t afforded the rights that any US citizen has when tried. These terrorist folk do not deserve the same freedoms & rights found in our justice system. No matter of our opinion about our justice system if it works or not, thats another thread in it's self. Obama so far has extended all of Bush's policys for the war on terror and the spending that is appropriated to it. This administration has continued to spend to the hilt, and there is no change left over.

He confessed prior to being waterboarded. The waterboarding was for intelligence gathering, not evidence.

And no. It's because the people who have gathered the evidence, are military people, and as such, have different rules and ways of doing things. This way, a military tribunal will rule over the trial, since they know the procedures and such. The rules of evidence are in fact different in a military court, agreed.

The real reason is because HE ISN'T THE MASTERMIND!!! If you want someone thrown in jail for 9/11 go grab George Bush, Dick Cheney, Rumsfield, Rove, whoever else you want to grab from the Bush administration!!!
