I listened to the News today 7th April and heard that the UK is dropping their advise to UK Citizens ' to not travel to Tokyo' and after all that I've read and researched my immediate thoughts were ' How can they do that - they're putting people at risk'.
Oh I thought, they must have come up with some miracle solution but MSN haven't told me this and after a little more research I find the following article giving a model of the contamination of the ocean. Then I find two of those sites are closed down (at least to me - perhaps it's my computer) but I did find this one.

Lies, Lies, Lies - what the hell do we believe! I can't help but think that as they can't do a damn thing about the final destruction of this OUR beautiful planet they may just as well pretend all is well and the more I read the more I am beginning to believe this.

They've cocked up BIG TIME.

A quick rundown of the problems that they are now admitted confirms what some in the alternative media have reported from the beginning.

Measures taken to keep the plant stable have created a wide array of problems.

The weight of the water injections have made the reactors vulnerable to ruptures during an aftershock.

The release of hydrogen mixed with seawater raises the possibility of an explosion.

The mixture of seawater with molten fuel is blocking fresh water from reaching and cooling the reactors.

New explosions could lead to further breaches in the containment vessels resulting in a much more serious release of radiation as well as a radioactive mass that would stay molten for a very long period of time.

Pouring water to cool the reactors may not be able to be sustained indefinitely

Fragments and particles of nuclear materials may have blown up to one mile high in the sky.

Radioactive material lying around the plant needed to be bulldozed over.

Because of the wide array of complex problems in three different reactors, a successful outcome is less certain than ever.

Reactor 1 is likely fully blocked from new water entering to cool it and most likely has no water in it at all.

Similar problems exist in reactor 2 and 3 although blockage is less severe.

The spent fuel rods pose an even greater potential for damage then the reactors themselves.

The hydrogen explosion at reactor four is believed to have released a huge amount of radioactive material into the environment in what is referred to as a “major term release” !!!!!!!!
.
Spent fuel rods are being exposed directly to the environment as opposed to the reactors themselves which are still in their containment vessels.

This is all happening at the exact same time as the corporate media continues to claim that this disaster poses absolutely no health threat to America. To top it off, the EPA is actively seeking to change the Protective Action Guidelines(PAGs) for radiation exposure.

We now find ourselves in a truely brave new world. Tyranny is freedom, radiation is healthy, and outright lies are truth.

It is evident that your statement about the spent fuel is true. There were 1,760 metric tons of spent nuclear rods are stored above and around the reactors..

And just today it was announced that at least 14 isotopes were found in the soil around the plant including: plutonium 238, 239 and 240, Iodine, Cesium, Tellurium, Barium, Niobium, Ruthenium, Molybdenum, Technetium, Lanthanum, Beryllium and Silver.

The info caan be found here: Detection of 14 Different Radioactive Materials in the Soil at Fukushima

Yeah,,it is definately Really bad. Initially, every time they sprayed water/or dropped water on the sites, it caused a
radioactive steam cloud. It does not take a nuclear physicist to observe that the response has been chaotic and
desperate. Given the conditions, I don't think I could have done any better. The one thing I would have done would
to as soon as realistically possible, start driving pilings and steel plates around the whole site at the closest distance possible. Creating a giant tub. Fill it with water ,Boraxo, and when stabilized, add concrete. But this is more easily said than done as there a 4 reactors and the owners were trying to salvage. It is kind of late in the game now, but you have got to call a spade a spade, construct the pilings and containment walls, and seal the reactors. Hard to do when you have scientists engineers trying to do the right thing, and owner/investors who are
unwilling to accept their losses and record of complete mismanagement. Then there is Gov't. influence as well
to consider. God only knows what their angle would be. Just Remember, When you see an American Aircraft
Carrier come about and haul azz, you KNOW it is bad. Judge them not by their words, but what they do.

I still can't believe nuclear plants were allowed to be built in the first place, the whole idea should have been dismissed at the start, especially with no plan or solution in place should any go into meltdown for any reason. What were they thinking?

The lunatics give the go ahead for something like this, which is fatally hazardous and toxic to all life, but have no plan for when it all goes wrong. Irresponsible in the extreme.

Citizens of the world have had no say in whether we want these reactors or not, yet it is all of us who have to suffer the consequences of their negligence.

I agree with an above poster, if you want some idea of the truth don't listen to the governments lies, just watch what they're doing instead - actions speak louder than words ever could.
