i just saw where it says it was 24k deep in this link...USGS LINKthats a big difference when its from 10k to 24k...interesting nontheless...thakns for posting

Yep, original post showed 10k but they changed it while I was posting.

Looks like no tsunami threat....

Just saw this, interesting as there doesn't seem to have been much activity there.
Digressing slightly, I don't check these things regular enough, but does anyone know if 4 - 5's are a nominal occurrence around the Guatemala area?

I hope this ain't a foreshock.

just because JAPAN had a few large quakes before the big one,i dont think that it is common...not every quake now will be a foreshock to something larger...maybe this was just THE quake and there will just be smaller aftershocks after...earthquakes happen all the time and usaully a 6.7 would be a huge quake but now since JAPAN everyone is expecting the BIG one
