Thanks

And I agree with you, I don't personally think that the likes of Gaga etc are really good music, I prefer to consider those types more as entertainers than actual musicians because of what they do even though I know there's a fair few that do play instruments themselves and contribute to making the music but unfortunately there's too much manufactured crap in the charts these days. But like I said people do like what I don't like and that's life, to me music is music, sure there's stuff I prefer and there's stuff I really don't want to hear ever again but ultimately there is no good or bad music, there is just music, everything else is down to the listener!

I'd love to see the original era from the 50's to the early 80's of the charts come back again where pretty much everyone you heard all made their own stuff and made it amazingly!

And you're right the majority of people who don't truely have a passion for listening to music do just go with what's thrown at them from the radio & the TV these days, which is kinda upsetting for the industry as a whole because the majority have become too lazy to go searching for new artists & bands and instead wait for the industry to throw it at them

And oh look more electronic music, but wait.... it's using real instruments

whats the difference going to others threads and bashing their music or starting a new thread bashing music I love music. I dont limit myself to anyone genre, and in your OP you did not say POP music you said electronicly produced on a computer and that it takes no skill whatsoever... something you obviously know nothing about..

everything youre posting here rocks. I love the Violin BTW but the point of your thread was obviously missed with the ignorant comment about electronic or dubbed music.

I apologize for derailing it. I was just compelled to deny ignorance.. no disrespect intended.

like you keep telling people in your thread, if you dont like that type of music dont listen but for music's sake don't bash what you dont understand or whatever you want to call it not your thing... I hope you get the lesson.. peace

I'll just say, just because you don't see any instrument being played in a music video doesn't mean that instruments weren't played in the recording.

Alot of my music doesn't have any videos and the music is played in clubs, very rare to see "live" sets but they do happen and they're my favourite kind of sets watching my favourite producers make the music live playing lots of midi instruments.

I'm not trying to have a go at you personally or anything I'm just trying to give you a better understanding into the scene and defending what I'm truely passionate about as I'm sure you would do the same if you were as passionate as I about your own music
As I said to my friends if I had to save them or the music I'd pick the music anytime I love it that much!

lol... I simply meant sitting down and using fruity loops. I apologize if I was vague. Just for the record... I listen to alot of music such as Traditional Folk/Neo Folk, Metal, Classical, Jazz, Blues, Rock, Punk, and Psychobilly. I have a pretty broad spectrum of taste. Here is something different for you.
