A meteor? I doubt it, it's moving too slow. Comet Elenin? Nope ... way too close to earth. Space junk? Maybe.

it's an airplane...Headed toward the horizon.....The contrails reflect the sunlight beautifully at dusk....it took me a second to realize this too the first time around...no harm...

But there have been dozens similar to this vid, and in fact, may be this vid, posted here at ATS...

perception is everything....

to me it looks like a contrail manipulated by the wind and illuminated by the sun

Similar photos of activity the photographer said was of an object that did not move.

ED: a video slide show of photos with the object in question in some of the photos

not UFO's.
simply short contrails highlighted in the sunset.

Hmmmm, seems this happened the same night as a meteor exploded over New Zealand. And we are just across the ditch from Oz so Im guessing one and the same!!

A meteor that illuminated the sky with a brilliant blue and white light as it exploded over New Zealand last night was likely to have been the size of a desk.

That just looks like the sun shining through a gap in the clouds. It's not an uncommon sight at sunset. Though it does look a bit like a comet or something. The sky sure can be deceptive sometimes.

Second that This is about the 2oth one of these in the past few months. People need to turn off the computer and just go watch some airplanes at dusk

This is definitely an illuminated contrail.

But I love how mysterious lights in the sky play so strongly with the imagination.
