I'm not sure if this has been brought up before I've thought about having an bts book club. Where we all decide on a book then have x amout of time to read it or untill everyone has finished the book. Then post your comments on the book in here or come into ats chat and discuss it there.
Fiction and non-fiction books to so what do you think ?

Sounds good to me. You do realize that instead of discussing the book, you can go to a place like amazon and read the reviews. Or google the author.

Great idea, se7en.
We definitely need something intelluctaully stimulating when we OD on too much ats.
So, now we need a list to select from.
Although the been talkd up here, maybe The DaVinci Code *ducks and runs for cover*
Plan of attack by Bob Woodward
or John Dean's new book, worse than watergate, although that would be hard to get in a library anytime soon

I just thought for the people who aleady know each outher in ats chat to discuss a book and its your own thoughts on it not someone else's so you can compare ideas with each outher you have on the book

I'm not saying don't try, because it would be GREAT
but check out Valhall's initial effort into doing this last year: ATS Book of the Month Club

Just trying to save you some time and effort. See who was interested then, and maybe how it was approached, then collaborate on what you can do to make it work.

Just a thought, as the wheel was invented several times over before the idiom not to do so ever got to the inventor's convention. (Don't worry, I confuse me too.)

I think it's a great idea!! I've been wanting to join a book club, but the ones I see always have sappy, romance stories on their lists. I can only read so many of those! UGH!! I'm just sure there will be a more diverse selection here.
I'm game!! Just need the specifics! If you need any help getting it going, please don't hesitate to ask. I'd be happy to help in whatever way that I can!
