That would not surprise me at all. There is enough military that it is a quick and easy distraction - just look at Facebook or Twitter the shutdown is being posted everywhere!

There are hundreds of Fat Cat liberals in New York City ready and willing to open those
checkbooks.

Is this some way to not pay out programs to its citizens. You see everyone lives in a paradigm that floors me. Why is there not happy, smiling looking replacement crew waiting behind the scenes. When employees think they call the shots on the employers purse, it would simply be FIRED, now move along without pay or benefits. Next. In one minute after the shutdown, with the true teeth of the system being counsels of citizens.

Someone also mentioned current system of Government where they lie to the people and do the will of the lobbyists. Whereas what should be done is lie to the lobbyists and do the will of the people.

I am glad this is averted although its tentative in nature we will still see them bickering in the following weeks or months about these spending cuts. Hoping that we can move forward and get out of Libya and create jobs.

I see, so your solution is, no compromise, no cutting defense, no cutting spending to oil companies, no cutting spending to farmers to NOT grow corn. Just cut from the poorest and weakest in the nation. Don't raise taxes on the wealthiest people who befitted the most from the collapse of the economy.

Agreed in full. Someone needs to actually get in there who isn't claiming to be for the American Taxpayer, but IS actually one. The politicians in now are just less than worth the time and effort to try and doe the right thing.
