IF only the elites there would share their wealth. Indians had proven that if properly educated including civics and ethical behaviour, they CAN contribute very much to mankind, not just on cheap labour alone.

India is a huge landmass, capable of feeding the world several times over if there is ethical and moral impetus to share that that wealth with mankind with labour and technology that will improverised no humans on planet Earth.

That's part of religion. No one has any right to force their beliefs onto you and while saying that, you should at least respect their traditions and beliefs. How would you react if they did the same to you?

The problems are not over population over there. It is a blessing that they have so much brainpower and labour to fully utilize and maximise the gift of that fertile land that even Alexander the Great coverted so much.

The problem is whether the elites there are willing to SHARE that land with the masses. They had not done so, nor will do so this generation. It is deeprooted. It is not without reason that even though Buddhism originated from India, it never took hold there but was greatly received by other nations.

The Indian masses are not lazy and stupid as the elites often wish to portray them as be. They are fellow humans just like you and me, with common aspirations in life. Those whom had seen the poverty and subjugation there, whom had fled to find jobs overseas had proven themselves first class workers when given the training and opportunities, espacially in Asia where their phenomena growth rates could not have happened if not for them with their willingness to undertake any job for a pittance that are more than what they would get back home under their elites.

Even though kings and principalities come and go throughout its civilisation, each succeeding generation that makes it to the top or the middle class choosed to forget their roots, to wash it away, and impose their might upon the masses where they sprung from, unlike the succeeding or middle class generations of the west whereby they never forget their roots of being serfs once, and within them, enough to make a difference to uplift the rest.

Religion plays a part, as religion teaches civilise ways to mankind, but unfortunately, that greed corrupted the Indians so deep rooted, that even their priests, clergies and clerics hoodwinks the masses, along with false charlettan swamis, spiritualists, etc, to make a buck off our kept uneducated fellow indian brothers and sisters, as well as to fool them to protect the status qou.

I no longer have faith in the present generation of Indians. It's too late and too deep rooted and rotted to change something that had long been accepted for centuries, even after the greatest mortal man that ever lived in present times tried to save India - Gandhi, failed.

My only hope are the new generations, the kids, that they may have the opportunities that you and I had. And they will contribute to progress and eventual evolution of humanity....

Even if the government became like the governments of Europe and engaged in reckless spending, there would still be too many people to improve the average lifestyle much. Blame the government all you want, but no matter what government is present, there's not much they can do. I predict India will fracture into tiny states, and some states will benefit, but most will be worse off.

Lmao, horrified? because i called a cow stupid because there are segments of the population that are starving while an entire steak house walks right past them.

Sometimes things need to be said and you cant worry about hurting someones wittle feewings.
This era of super-sensitivity is being forced upon people but its all bogus and only hurts them in the long run.

Overpopulation is a problem upto certain extent when it comes to management and administration of budgets as a country but that is due to political BS and Corruption. There is a massive mismanagement of funds just like in any other country.

What do you think are the possible problems due to overpopulation?

Wouldn't that make your wish come true? The country has managed to survive culturally(despite the exploitation and plundering by several civilizations going back in time) and risen to the top economically only due to its population (cheap labor). How long can one sustain or afford to pay the same wages as the Western Countries? At times the people outside the country do feel that way based on MSM publicized events and mislead them to think that the country is on the verge of breaking up into smaller pieces. But unfortunately the people of India and the Government are not that stupid to let it happen if there are external forces at work just the way they are in the Middle East currently

I am not so sure about that. I think lack of education, patience and understanding is what drives one to not see the bigger picture and take the short cut You see a cow is more useful alive then dead. Its milk is used to produce butter, ghee, yogurt and cheeses. It can help you survive a long time then killing the cow to survive for few days/weeks. Its dung can be used as insecticide and dried cow patties can be used to light a fire. A cow is a low maintenance animal which feeds on natural vegetation (mainly grass) which grows in abundance around the region. Milk is a good source of protein along with other naturally cultivated crop in the region. Thus there is no need to hog up additional protein like they do in the West which leads to Obesity The entire country for the most part has survived and thrived (proof is in the numbers 1.2 billion) So tell me now if its not the food they eat or the ample of it then what is it that drives a country to push the population to 1.2 billion? Dont tell me its lack of sex education because it is also the land of Kamasutra where Sex is also a Science and Art

Unlike the West, the country does not have too many issues with Crops. It is a tropical country for the most part and sustaining the population is possible without hunger and inflation. However the GREED of money is what drives the consequences (Inflation & Poverty). The alternative source of protein (Meat) has always been the choice in regions where Agriculture is generally occurring in short seasons or people are too lazy to cultivate crops and would rather slaughter animals by raising them by genetically modifying them and breeding them with no actual nutritional value to the meat but rather side effects of hormones ingested into the human body. Just look at all the various separatist movements. As the population grows the government will lose more control as more people are dissatisfied. How are you going to keep unified a country with all that regionalism and all those people? It will either break up, or they will be united under some sort of lines like religious nationalism. Or maybe they'll some how be able to get the birthrate under control.

On the other hand you have more and more people voting for religious nationalists. So it's status as a multicultural, secular country is being pressed from two different directions. Your points are all valid but they also exist in many countries around the world including the US though the Separatist movements are usually hidden militia or cult groups. That does not mean a thing.

Most of the time it is the media that is driving the political propoganda including induced riots using students and young minds (ofcourse it takes money using opposition political party and unemployed youths to organize a riot). Everything else is a media hype and people's speculations surrounding the hype. Give me a list of positive achievements of India instead of focusing on the negative aspects of a country just like many Western Countries have been practicing for China or India or Russia.
