I have an htc Hero Droid smartphone. I often use the "Tunein Radio" app with headphones while I'm in the office. The problem is, when I recieve an incoming phone call, it bypasses the headphones and immediately starts blaring whatever net radio program I'm listening to out through the phone's built in speaker. It does this regardless of whether I have the phone on silent mode or ringer turned on...

Anybody know of a fix for this?

Sounds like a problem with the app itself rather than your phone or settings. Have you contacted the dev for support? Usually, whenever I have android app issues, the comments on the review page sometimes has an solution or answer, as the issue occurs with many others.

Just a suggestion, and I'm sure you've tried it already.

I had a similar problem with my iphone 4.. Have you tried putting the phone in silent mode, While the headphones are unplugged ?

On the I phone when the headphones are plugged in, I can only turn the headphones up, or down.. But the phone will still ring..

But if I turn the volume all the way down on the phone, and then plug the headphones in..Turn the volume back up and, The ringtone remains silent, While the music still plays.. Just Give it a try.. That's how i fixed this issue with the I phone..

It is definitely the app. I have seen that it is a known gripe about TuneIn. It does not happen with Pandora or A-Radio apps.

Guess I won't be using that app anymore.
