I was just watching MSNBC, maybe CNN & I am going to quote to the best of my recollection what this man just said.

"They are finding the more fresh water they are pumping into the reactors, the more radioactive water that comes out of the busted pipes.

One worker was injured, I'M SORRY, I meant splashed with the radioactive water & was soaked up to his underwear in it."

That concerned me. Why would he even say injured on accident? Now, this isn't exactly what he said, but this is very close & like I said, QUOTE ON QUOTE, what was being said about 15 minutes ago.

Also, I just heard,

"They are requesting more workers for the clean-up crew at the plant. The crew is working hours on end & eating nothing but crackers & vegetable juice."

**MODS, please move this topic to the correct forum. I thought this was about Disaster Conspiracies in general, not just the Katrina disaster. Sorry!

QUOTE ON QUOTE

I think you meant quote unquote.

I'm sure it was just a slip, being splashed with radioactive water is potentially an injury.

Yes I meant quote unquote, lmfao. I forgot it was written that way & I see it all the damn time.

It is definitely potential to injury, but I found it odd that he would retract injury & respond "sorry I meant splashed."

Maybe I created a pointless thread...

Not at all!

This thread is very important... perhaps only to me... but then I find it a useful exercise to try and figure out what the editorial policy of the MSM is....

I think this might indicate that the MSM has determined (or been directed) to NOT talk about injuries in these stories... only 'exposure.'

Frankly, unless you object I would like to suggest moving this to the Deconstructing Disinformation Forum where many, like me, collect these "slips of the tongue" ....

Thanks

Moving this thread to the appropriate place, be it Deconstructing Disinformation, will be fine with me.

It really DID seem like a slip of the tongue tho. Like you said, it seems more like he isn't supposed to mention injuries, because as soon as he mentioned the word, he retracted it & apologized & explained how the worker was "injured"

Check out NLP and the media... This is just one video, I think you might find it quite interesting... And that their "slips of tongue" are sometimes well planned...

www.youtube.com...

Let me know what you think...

Haha, right before I read this thread, I posted in another and talked about "Freudian Slips," and how when you, seemingly by accident, jumble up the order of words, or use the wrong word, how it is your subconscious mind trying to send you a message. I cannot explain it that well, but if anyone is interested I suggest doing a little bit of research on the subject. Very fascinating stuff!!

Back on topic, to me this seems like a catch 22. They have to keep pumping water in to keep the core cool, yet the more water they pump in, the more contaminated water that leaks out. The only solution is to fix the leak in my opinion, but then again I haven't been following the topic as closely as some, so I probably do not know some of the important facts. What a mess, what a mess.

Thanks for posting. I always like to see how the media uses certain specific words to either down play or emphasise certain issues.
