Orbital Information vs. Significant Earthquakes

I have found information that I will need fellow ATSer's to help me correlate the orbital information to significant earthquakes to see if there is indeed a way to predict earthquakes by watching the orbits of comets and asteroids that correspond with earth alignment.... All posts and replies welcome... Just trying to get some help with this research....

If we can connect the dots on this then maybe we can figure out what is happening to our earth and better prepare for future events that can be detrimental to our existence....

looking at the list of NOE's i selected apophis as my first subject, as it was one of the few i recognized (as a worthy subject).

Only took about 5 minutes to find this, gonna keep looking but im not gonna make a post for each one i find, i will try to make a nice list to see what happens.

On another note, i am curious if there is a way to correlate with this the position of the earths rotation during such events?

Also another note the USGS info doesnt go back past 2002 as accurately as the records for anything since then

Major earthquakes are not caused by celestial objects. This is well established and if you want I can get a ton of sources on that.


If they were, the Moon should be absolutely ripping our planet apart!

This thread is using the same facts that i am so there seems to be something to this... just trying to figure some stuff out... the moon does not come from across the system, it rotates with us...... but some of these small bodies have a much larger orbit which would give them a higher relative speed so that when they do come close enough it could have significant impact.... same principle as used here....

I have just found more data to correlate the information to...

here is what i have found from the first three on that list, it is interesting that the coincidence for each seems to effect certain areas more than others (probably an random anomoly but still interesting).

I also have not been recording instances of EQ's smaller than 5.0M and some notes have been added for additional info such as crossing the ecliptic or additional bodies included in the alignment.

the above 2 posts are from 20 NOEs of about 1200 so i have decided to eliminate some objects due to thier size (or lack of) All info that i post from now on will include est. diameter given by nasa unless none is given. Any object which does not have an indicated diameter will be included.
