Acts of God is a debatable theory... Just like predictions are debatable. If people didnt investigate all the possibilities then there wouldnt but cures for disease, hurricane tracking, tornado forecasting. Who knows. One day earthquakes could be predicted.

omg! I hope she is wrong because I'm flying out to California that day!

She didn't predict anything. She spat out "this weekend" in a video (amongst many other "epic fails," if you bother to look), naming a list of major cities near large fault lines. Aside from that, her list was entirely based on a city list mentioned by MK in a subpar documentary. She still, to this day, claims that everybody in those specific cities should leave immediately. You're far too gullible if you can call what this lady is doing anything remotely close to "predicting." There is quite a large difference between knowing the future, and tapping into a cooincidence by posting a couple thousand half-assed "predictions" per year (based on other peoples information, at that!).

I do, however, trust you to figure those differences out.

I think you mis understanding why this has been posted. We know she didnt predict the exact day or place, but she did say big big earthquake this weekend, and it did happen etc

First off...I totally agree that people throw around random predictions and ideas all the time, and even guesses can turn out right - so we shouldn't jump to "prophet" conclusions all the time. ha. In fact, I think most often these predictor types are really just bored kids...or disinfo agents distracting us!

But let's get this very clear:
1. This lady is very Christian, but she's not making predictions left and right. All her predictions are based on past observations of how the comet's orbital path interacts with other planets. Maybe she's wrong, but she's not just making crap up - and she's showing us where she's getting her ideas from, there's nothing too manipulative about it.
2. She said there would be a seismic window from the 11th through the 15th when the comet would be in alignment, and she targeted/called out the 11th as THE day to get out of dodge. She admitted she didn't know pricesly where EQs would hit, but Tokyo was a big possibility. An honestly, if a Cali quake hits this week...maybe she was just that far ahead on that one, we'll just see.

3, the most important point-
It's not a matter of arguing whether we think she's right or not. All those still confused and watching this stuff should just take it for what it is. If more comet alignments correlate with natural disasters, we'll have more info to go on...time WILL tell, fortunately/unfortunately however you look at it.

Stop the arguing. It's so silly.

Study the link I provided -- if that's not a proof of acts of God -- what is?

Are you saying if she was the worshiper of another "Dogma" than "Christian" -- you couldn't take her seriously?

What seems to be happening is that people keep predicting a California quake to take place anywhere from a week to two weeks to a month out. Eventually, someone's going to get it right and there will be a quake. Having been on ATS some time now, it's getting to be a common kind of thing. For those who've been on ATS for years (and years), this must really get old quickly.

That is the quickest find, but there are others. The example above is limited to an explanation of simply our moon and the primary sun (sol). It has long been accepted (hundreds of years?) that the moon the main purveyor of the Earthen tides. Did you not know that? Not trying to be smug, but to discount the effects of "undiscovered/hidden" celestial bodies like those that I mentioned is silly and bereft of logic.

God, gods, Jesus, nor the spaghetti monster has anything to do with any of this. Your "Acts of God" are explained in great scientific detail should you look for it. However much of the real science has been carefully hidden to prevent alarm and panic. We are seeing a cascade of events that are only getting worse (unless you think things are getting better?).

What I don't understand is why she said she's going to the mountains? If there was a large earthquake coming, why would she chose to go there?! I would be getting out of state if I were her. Also, wouldn't the animals statewide start acting up by now if the earthquake was 3 days away? Usually they begin at least a week or two ahead of time.

Earthquake=Tsunami=floods and death

If it's as big as the 9.0 it could create a wave that will go out to Pasadena. The foothills (4000-5000 feet) sounds better then doesn't it?

How did she pinpoint the earthquake....she originally went from Worldwide for her first prediction, to California on her next....Her logic seemed within reason on her first prediction for a worldwide threat, i would like to understand her logic on how she can now pinpoint them.

There was alot of "experts" saying that california was going to have a massive earthquake march 15th..

aand nothing happened..as usual.

I dont believe her. Just by saying "something bad is going to happen" doesnt mean she can predict.

Don't give me a link to free grocery coupons. Explain your statement that celestial bodies affect things on earth?

...those "predictions" are always late, we will see day 31 will pass and nothing by sure will happen, as aways.

why are people all excited about comet elenin? According to spaceweather, it's 4km in diameter. That's nowhere near big enough to have any kind of effect on any of the planets or the sun. The girl in that video says the comet will cause earthquakes, volcanic eruptions and solar flares? This comet is a spec of dust next to the sun. It will have no more gravitational effect than a fruit fly buzzing around your head. Likewise for Earth. By her logic, if a comet so small could cause all these disasters, the moon would be causing Earth to tear itself to pieces.

Come on guys. Educate yourselves with real science before entertaining these 'prophets' who clearly have no grasp on physics or astronomy.

is the correct answer
i hope nothing does happen, as my dad is in Vegas atm..

The Moon balances the earth in her rotation and orbit, introducing another body into the balace obviously throws it off. Agreed a 4km asteroid prob not big enough to disturb old mother earth, but could definatley see it causing some type of unrest within our delicate system.

Hi Matthew Dark.

I was curious, are you a psychiatrist?

No.
I have several years of experience working in the psych field, though.
And I'm a nursing student.
What difference does that make?
I'm as qualified to call her "unhinged" as she is to claim that these earthquakes are caused by some comet that may or may not even exist.
Why don't you ask the girl who made these videos if she's a geologist, or astrophysicist or something along those lines?
Chances are, I'm slightly (and by slightly, I mean drastically) more qualified to make my claim than she is to make hers.

You obviously are enamored with the modern paradigms. The truth is, science doesn't have a clue how gravity works, what causes earthquakes or really much of anything other than conjecture and houses of cards self supporting loads of crap.

We don't know what forces of nature exist or how they interact. We don't know that Mass and gravity are specifically related, we don't know much of anything.

This chick has pointed out a correlation between an alignment of this comet the sun and earth that was mete out a few days later with the Japan earthquake. Astronomical alignments have been correlated with earth functions for thousands of years.

I'm more apt to give her credence than some self important pompous asses who are perfect illustrations of the human condition... That of thinking they currently know everything, when they know precisely dick...
