Another Quake just hit off the coast of Japan.

A magnitude-6.5 earthquake shook eastern Japan off the quake-ravaged coast on Monday morning, the U.S. Geological Survey reported, prompting Japan to issue a tsunami alertThere were no immediate reports of damage or injuries, but the Japan Meteorological Agency announced that a tsunami of up to 1.6 feet (a half meter) may wash into Miyagi Prefecture.
The alert was prompted by a quake that the U.S. Geological Survey measured at 7:23 a.m. Monday Japan time (2223 GMT Sunday) near the east coast of Honshu.
The USGS said the quake was 3.7 miles deep.
.

They need to hurry up and get the nuclear situation under control. This is getting to be pretty rediculous.

Story

Additionally I have been monitoring radiation levels in southern California since the 19th on this Thread

They should re-name Japan to "The Earthquake Country" because i believe they've had the highest EQ rate in a long time. I mean, there's an earthquake going on every day!

That was really rude towards her, and I feel the same as she does. Karma. Money and social status shouldn't be a reason to be "saved".

They should save everyone else and put you in Japan. I think that would be a great swap.

So, um, just in case we have a national disaster,
how much do you earn in a year?

Very poor taste, paperface.

Poor taste indeed. Why even bother saying such a thing? Would have been a decent post without that heartless bit.

After that last tsunami and earthquake, is there really anything left to wash away along the coast? I hope that those who may be out there cleaning up have made it to a safe place. I look forward to seeing their rebuilding progress. I have to wonder whether I would want to keep living in Japan with these earthquakes being so frequent, and now with the addition of poisonous levels of radiation. As sad as it is to have to leave one's country and giving up generations of history (family land, familiar places, etc.), I think this is one of the best reasons to do so.

tracehd1: you are exactly right! the lack of compassion not just in this site, but all over the world is disturbing!
ego is the problem and a pin prick can burst the bubble.
on topic: this is not good at all if tsunami hits again near the power plant.the structure's are already in shambles and added seawater if it should happen can only cause more electrical and radioactive contamination problems.my eyes looking at the pictures see things mot people don't,and i know the situation is dire.they may have power to the plant but for it to function it has to be started up through the system in sequence!there has to be big electrical problems the in the plant and any problems taken out or isolated! some buildings will come up ok but others i cant see anything but a stinking cover up! i am sickened by this whole dilemma and yet nothing i can do to help!

the rich are quite probably the reason this problem exists, they have the helm and should go down with the ship!
