Plastic Surgeon Says He Operated on Gadhafi

SAO PAULO (AP) — It was well past midnight when the Brazilian surgeon says he was escorted deep inside a bunker in the Libyan capital.

His assignment: to shave years off Moammar Gadhafi's appearance by removing fat from his belly and injecting it into his wrinkled face. The Libyan leader also got hair plugs.

"He told me that he had been in power for 25 years at that time, and that he did not want the young people of his nation to see him as an old man," Dr. Liacyr Ribeiro recalled. "I recommended a facelift, but he refused."

When I first saw this headline, I was wondering what plastic surgeon would "boast" about working on
Gadhafi? If anything, that would probably hurt his plastic surgery practice.... using Gadhafi as a reference....

Then I read further into the article which said:

Ribeiro insists he is speaking out now only to provide insight into a man about whom little is known, and certainly not to boast.

"Gadhafi is not looking very good these days," said Ribeiro, noting that the 68-year-old leader has appeared jowly in recent appearances, his skin puffy, loose and deeply creased. "To let potential patients know that I operated on him would be counterproductive."

You think? Ok I guess that makes more sense... Guess even terrorist dictators can be vain.....

This just goes to show just how delusional and narcissistic he is...

His country is taking a major nose dive going down the tubes fast while people are dying all around him from his and NATO action and he goes and gets himself a face-lift and tummy-tuck.

Plastic surgery can become an obsession. I tend to support the notion that Qaddafi became addicted to the procedures:

Young Qaddafi

Older Qaddafi

This happens a lot in Hollywood. So sad...and it does not matter the age.

Just to be clear...this is about the facelifts and not the politics...this momofo needs to go.

I thought that I would mention the article states that the procedure was done in 1995 or about 16 years ago.

Apparently he's gone downhill since then in more ways than one. Why can't billionaire tyrants retire to some peaceful country so that the people can live in peace?

And Bin Laden has been on a dialysis machine in his cave since 2001 thats why nobody has found him yet.

I honestly thought Micheal Jacksons plastic surgeon was the one who worked on that piece of dung in Libya. I mean, look how bad of a job the person did. It looks like if he sneezes too hard, chunks of face will go flying and his nose will split down the middle.
