Your age this year and the last 2 digits of your year of birth add to 11 or 111 this year...

Someone just told me about this...I didn`t know where to place this thread, but thought the chit chat one was most appropriate...

I checked my figures, my parents, my friends, my pets....and it is actually so.

For example, born in 1970 take 70 and add to the age you turn this year... So, 70 plus 41= 111
Born 1951, age 61 now - add 51 to 61 = 111
Born 2008 (08) now 3 yrs old - 08 and 3 = 11

Maybe it`s already been talked about , I don`t know... It just blew my mind there and then!!
Next year will be different - 112 or 12

Just thought it was coincidental/interesting that whilst all these talks about the number 11 are going on, that these 1s occur for all of us this year.

Just something to try out and play with, I suppose...

its hardly a coincidence as every one under 100 will add up to 112 next year and added to 110 last year. its simply adding the year you where born to your age and every 1 year older a person is, they will be born one year earlier.

first off 51 + 61 = 112, sorry had to be a smartarse, and as much as it is strange it does happen every 100 years. I wonder if someone will work it out then aswell?

Hey, Thanks so much for starting this....I was oblivious to this. Once again showing how cool Math really is. I wish more of today's youth would think this was as cool as I do. Thanks again.

That`s my mistake, due to my hopeless mathematical abilities!!! Meant to write 1950 birth, now of course 61, therefore 111!!!

If you were born in 1951....you will be turning 60 this year. 51+60=111. .

I'm sorry but I don't find this interesting at all..Its just simple math! You are adding your age to the year you were born which is the same thing as finding your age by subtracting the year you were born from the current year.

But whatever floats your boat I guess. Sorry for being a buzzkill.

It`s Ok!! I just thought it was kind of weird/interesting...when everyone talks about the number 11 lately, and when this year, everyone`s ages and dates of birth add to 11 or 111. That`s all!! Just something I was told about just a short time ago, and thought I would share with you all for more insights and to have explanations really!! Nothing more!

I saw this on another site. My age and year born as well as my wife both come out as 110. When I put this on the other guys post, he deleted it as it must have upset his ideas somewhat. 71, 1939=110 or my math may be bad. LOL

I am 40 now so it doesnt add up. But I will be 41 soon and it will add to 111.
So, it`s not about the age you are right now, but the age you will be this year, at some point.

If you were born in 1939, you are going to be 72 at some point this year...this is what you have to add. 39 and 72.

I was born in 1987 and will turn 23 this year.

87+23 = 110
